Ended up leaving without eating. Too busy, noisy and cramped for us oldies! The Christmas stock was very limited also.......mainly candles and tree Dec's.We have enough of those!!

Fabulous dog friendly cafe and shop. Food is delicious, service with a smile and the shop has so many gorgeous goodies. My dachshund especially loves the puppacino and all the attention from the staff!!

My first visit. The menu isn't extensive but certainly has enough choice to satisfy. I'd chilli & my friend had baked potato - both were delicious. Clean plates all round! We'd coffees & cakes. I found my choice, the last piece of banana & maple, too dry/hard & was immediately offered an alternative as replacement. Again, delicious! The service was excellent - quick & efficient; but we never felt rushed. The surroundings were lovely, comprising of wall-to-wall Christmas decorations & seasonal gifts. My only issue was the parking. The car park was full, a bit disorganised,& VERY muddy. But the restaurant can't be blamed for the recent awful rain.I recommend this place & I'll be back!

Lovely coffee and cake in delightful surroundings.Parking: When busy the car park can be a bit tight and some visitors a bit dense!

A magical christmas experience, well worth the drive, the atmosphere, and delicious food just sweeps you along. It's a wee treasure, even if you just stop by for a coffee in the coffee shop. It's a delightful place. You feel like a child again.Parking: Lunchtimes, the parking is difficult, but they now have an overflow car park.

My mum and I have been going here for 10 years, it’s a Christmas tradition that doesn't disappoint. Lunch was beautiful and very reasonably priced. Service was quick and my allergy was catered for efficiently. Staff all super friendly!

First time visiting, recommended to me by a multitude of people. Absolutely incredible atmosphere with lovely staff. Had to go on the waiting list but I spent my time waiting in the shop, pretty expensive but you can’t expect Aldi prices in a place like that! Shop was very lovely, I did not buy anything but it would be a lovely place to buy some Christmas presents. The wait for the cafe was well worth it, I had a Tunisian orange cake, very moist and tasted so good that I had to order a second cake, Coffee, it also did not disappoint. I was taken aback by the extensive choices of flavours for my coffee. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back! Thanks

Ive been coming here for many years, and this year didnt disappoint. lovely welcoming service, fully explaining lunch was 12-2 and as its small place you have to be patient, something many people seem to have issues with. Beautiful gift shop with many wonderful treasures to buy. Restaurant was fantastic, food was as always here so yummy and taste. Service from everyone was 10/10. nothing was a problem for any of the staff. Upsets me hearing people moaning and so rude about this wonderful little Angus treasure of a place. Some people are si self entitled it seems. Yes its a pain to get to due to road damages, unfortunately horrific flooding we had in October, that certainly wasnt the staffs fault!! See you next weekend for my final yummy treat. you have all worked so hard you enjoy the festive rest.

We have been here before pre covid and it was amazing. Today was shocking. Cafe nothing like organised. Menu lacked imagination and soup was tasteless price point good. Sandwiches were good. Shop was disappointing nothing like my romantic memory. Road access from A90 North and South a nightmare due to flooding in Oct roads closed sat nav was having a fit. Husbands perseverance found a route via Arbroath. Oh and wear your thermals it was perishing !

Would not recommend this place at all Yes shop nice but staff poor in customer service and attitude towards people -wanted to have lunch but there is a waiting list as the place was busy . A very rude assistant, who appeared to be in charge of seating in the cafe -informed us there is a waiting list but she could not put us on the list as it was far too busy. She asked us to look round the shop and check in to have name put on the list . I personally found this young, incompetent assistant very rude in manner tone and body language. She had no idea how to treat people , and twice refused to put our name on the list but put others on before us - this business needs look at these young people and their attitude. If they want customers.

We had some great coffee and cakes here! Unfortunately we were just too late for lunch, but we will come back for lunch at some point.Great service, and it’s a beautiful old building with lots of character.Definitely worth stopping in past.
