Sinclair's Larder

Our first visit, after a recommendation by a friend. The decor is clean, fresh and welcoming, we loved the striped wall with neon and the handwritten menu boards. Food was fresh, pretty and delicious. It was around 1230pm on a Saturday and very busy however all staff were visible, efficient, smiley and friendly. Despite being very busy, staff took a moment to chat with the customers and the overall vibe was very welcoming. We will visit again

The Whistle Stop

Great little coffee, cake and lunch spot.
Very relaxed staff. Really friendly.
Good coffee (not easy to find in Brechin).
And if you love railways, it is on the old platform with lots of memorabilia.

Bridgend Bar & Lounge ( The Brig)

Excellent service, the younger girl that served us was welcoming and always had a smile on her face. The food was also perfect, I don't really have anything to complain about really.

Brechin Arms

Nice wee pub in Brechin. Lovely, friendly service, the barmaid was welcoming and friendly as well as professional. Reasonable prices in a friendly and comfortable local pub. Perfect place to rest your feet and have a wee dram. Highly recommend. We need more pubs like this, unpretentious and welcoming. 10/10.

Hickory Restaurant

Rather sadly, I was attending a funeral tea; but that being said, the staff did everything to ensure our time there was relaxing and well catered for. There was a constant stream of hot & cold drinks, plenty of well prepared sandwiches & sausage rolls along with an array of delicious cakes. The staff were turned out in smart attire as befits the occasion, pleasant & very helpful. The room was well presented & nice and cosy. A+ for the service we received. Well done, you served the bereaved family well.Wheelchair accessibility: There is plenty of space to accommodate a wheelchair user. Easy access, without restrictions. There is plenty of space to comfortably move around inside.

The Tuck Inn

This place if not working full time,but the times it works definitely give it a visit ! We had some Breaded haddock and large fries,when they say large they are REALLY LARGE(Most propably will be enough to feed 2 adults and a kid) and not only that,but on top of all the potatoes was fresh ones,not frozen processed ones you would expect,the fish was cooked in a Ghee and not a palm oil or some any other fast food oil,the taste was diferrent to your average fish & chips shop. The staff really friendly,inside a little outdated but looking at the village ,dont have to be something wow,end of the day is a food stop and not an wedding event place. They accept card & cash payments,the street is free to park too ,This comes in handy after the long walk on the blue door surroundings(Rock solitude) ! We all enjoyed the food and thank you for using a fresh ingredients! I would recommend this 101% ! Thank you for being there folks,appreciated your service !

Auld Bakehouse

Beautiful food and lovely staff. Would definitely recommend. Don't serve alcohol but you can take your own which was great! Will visit again if we are ever in the area 10/10

We had a fantastic Christmas lunch with friends. Everything was delicious. Always great value food. This place has a great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Highly recommended

Glenesk Hotel

Ritu (the new owner who bought this place about 5 years ago it seems) could not have been lovelier, kinder, or more helpful! We will definitely be back for a stay but we dropped in today for lunch for the first time and it was easily the best meal I’ve had in Scotland (after many visits over the years).

She said she renovated the entire property after she bought it and it definitely shows. Everything feels bright, clean, Scottish, and cozy (the reception room for weddings was quite pretty as well). The whisky room was so cool, the view out onto the lawn and golf course was lovely, and the pool/spa area seemed really clean and nice. Also it seems to they’ve won a ton of awards for best hotel apparently so we’ll be back for a stay!

Couldn’t recommend it enough!

The Panmure Arms Hotel

Stayed two nights with a small party - Panmure Arms was near perfect! Efficient, friendly service, good meals with extensive menu, a cheery bar, popular with locals.
Well-situated at edge of Highlands; walking, golf, Edzell Castle, Fettercairn distillery close by.

Fantastic find ! Amazing fresh food cooked to order, friendly happy staff, very good prices. Even have Gluten Free batter and separate fryer ! AMAZING.

Bread and Butter Sandwich Shop

The new place that opened in brechin not long ago is banging. I had smash avo granted not everyone cup a tea but hot damn this smash avo is so tasty fry eggs was beyond perfection, runny like my wallet on a weekend night out and most importantly, coffee was wow. Defo come back again. If you're nearby, check out the new location they open up next door to brechin hardware store. ✌️❤️?

House of Farnell

I like this place everything is nice about it, it's very sweet and tiny, the menu is good but very simple which is pretty nice to see, I think they could do more specials though as the main menu options are very basic. A huge improvement would be adding sourdough to the bread offerings and some salads to choose from

Lucky House

Very quick service last night - 15 minutes from phoning in the order, to collection.
Friendly lady behind counter, even though she is obviously very busy.

Disappointed to see another customer bring a large boisterous dog into the shop. The door clearly says NO DOGS.
Shame about the (well known) idiots in Brechin with unruly dogs - they bring the town down

Ranj Curry House

So opted for the Ranj to try out tonight, couldn't help but notice their is no up to date google reviews so opted to shed some light on one of @Brechin's local take aways.
I called the order in (old school lol) and it worked out well as was able to tweak and customise the meal deal with ease.
The food was delivered earlier than anticipated but not too early to make you think it wasnt fresh. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, the curries were thick and didn't lack flavor, pakoras were fresh and crispy, the nan was huge and not too dry, and the portions were very generous too ? The food was presented well and delivered with a smile. What more can you ask for when you just dont have the oomph to cook or leave the house, didnt break the bank either ?

Dinos Kebab And Pizza House

Absolutely phenomenal food, atmosphere and service. The guys cook amazing food. The pizzas are a showstopper and truly delicious. I think they’re some of the best pizzas we’ve ever had. We regularly travel from Aberdeen just to eat here. Thank you so much!

Very comfortable beds pillows etc .very friendly staff.food was delishes. Will definitely go back .I was on crutches and was given the wet room which was a great advantage. Very reasonable priced.thank you
