Lindores Abbey Distillery

Really lovely experience. Our tour guide in the distillery was extremely knowledgeable and answered every question. The tasting was eye opening and his expertise made it so much more enjoyable

The Courtyard

Excellent first experience, delicious food, very well presented. Great selection of bottled German beers, friendly and attentive staff. Slightly flat atmosphere as half empty for a Friday night, which we were told was rare. Highly recommended, we'll come again.

The Boudingait

We visited for the first time on Saturday 10 October 2026. We had lunch (vegan curry and a gf Mac n cheese) both were lovely. There was only one diner in when we arrived and it was almost full by the time we left. Very friendly staff with freshly cooked food. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

Osteria by simmer kitchen ( Neapolitan Pizza & sharing style seasonal dishes )

We thought we had great pizza in Ottawa, Canada .... and then there is Osteria, which is in a class all on it's own! The combination of items is the perfect balance of flavours. And like all the food at Osteria, every bite a tantalizing taste experience. And the wine paring is devine. Osteria is our go to for great, unique food and wonderful service, everytime we come to Cupar!

The Peat Inn Restaurant with Rooms

Fantastic tasting menu, consisting of not only the best but also the hardest to find products; they were all great, especially loved the turbot and the grouse that I never had before; and perfectly executed. Service was exceptional and nicest folks! Also had a wonderful stay, very cozy and comfortable room that had everything I wanted; and lots of options for in-room continental breakfast.

The Village Cafe

An absolute gem of a café that offers homemade food with wonderful, friendly & genuinely caring volunteers. It's a pleasure to visit which we do regularly on our way to/from St Andrews.

Cupar Tearoom

Great tearoom in the square, nice and quiet. Sat outside with my dog and had a brownie and coffee. It was delicious and great value. Returned next day for lunch, sandwiches are excellent and great value.

Aangan Indian Restaurant & Grill

A get together for dinner for 6 of us. The food was super, we started with poppadoms and chutney, then between us we had four different lamb dishes and one vegetarian dish, plus various breads. Delicious and big portions, so much so that we took some home. Service was good albeit there was a minor accident with a bottle of wine. No one got splashed so all was good.

Nathaniel’s restaurant craigsanquhar

Recently re-opened as a restaurant after being a wedding-only venue for several years. Beautiful country house in a lovely rural setting. Staff are very welcoming and looked after us very well. Food was great - modern Scottish. Overall feels like a really high-end experience, but at prices similar to many St Andrews restaurants.

I had 6 sandwich platters made for my birthday party in march 24 from cupar shop and they were absolutely amazing,very fresh and everyone asked where the sandwichs were made.highly recommend.Staff were very helpful and friendly too.

Mystic Dragon

I have enjoyed here since a kid. I have tried other takeaways over the years, 1 being rated similar and still this is the best one! Nowhere has as much flavour, good cooking of meats or as perfectly cooked rice that I have found.

Elmwood Fairways Restaurant

Love visiting. The restaurant has fabulous views. The food is really good & the scones are delicious?. Can’t wait for the menu to be extended. Thoroughly recommend a visit & I don’t play golf?

Indos Cupar Restaurant and Takeaway

Best vegetarian Indian meal Ive ever had! Seriously Food was delicious, chef altered a hot dish to make it milder for me and it was superb. Vegetable Manchurian?The menu is extensive and plenty of both Vegetarian and vegan options.I couldn't eat it all and took it home for next days lunch at the office.The staff were lovely, warm, friendly and attentive without being too much.Ive no idea why the review rating is only 4.2 I’d give it 6 if I could.

The Central Cafe

I've had a variety of items from this establishment - all of which were made to order in a timely manner, served warm, and all with a fantastic service. Exactly what you want! I'd recommend the fish and chips or the pizza, they are my favs!

The Shehnai Indian Restaurant

Never had a bad meal, whether it's sit in or takeaway from here. Yes, the takeaway side is very busy, but the staff work hard.
Food as always very good. Good atmosphere.

Caspian Fast Food

I ordered a set meal takeaway tonight. The veg pakora and sauce was lovely, as was the gigantic naan bread. The chicken madras was lovely, you could taste the real clove, star anise and mustard seeds (fried off to perfection), which I think is great, The heat was good (spice wise), my only problem (slight issue) would be the salt. A wee bit too much for me, but everyones taste is different. I’ll defo be ordering again as I feel this is the best curry in Cupar.

Dino's Pizza

Price for food portion size was very good. Chips were a little on the dry side as stated in other reviews, but I prefer them that way. Fish had a strong taste and the batter was average. I would rate this as 7/10 compared to our local chippy in Northumberland. Can't compare to others in Scotland as this is the only one we tried. Got to say staff were really friendly and the shop was very busy. With that in mind it must be one of the best around.

New Century Chinese Restaurant

Had the crispy won tons and some spring rolls. Didn't realise the spring rolls were veg but they were still nice. Won tons also quite nice, a good filling and a very nice thing crispy pastry. I'll definitely try some mains next time!

They are cash only, but also offer payment via QR code which is convenient if you don't have cash. It's understandable that they don't want to take card given how reasonable their prices are, they'd only have to bump them up to cover the fees if they did

Libo's Fish & Chip Shop

Great friendly service. We had the haddock and chips. Ordered small and theyre generous but if youre a chip fan go bigget, theyre really good! Highly recommended, will visit again. You can sit outside to eat and people watch but otherwise more takeaway than sit in.

Burger King

My partner, son and I regularly visit BK in Cupar and always appreciate the consistent great service we receive. This was especially the case when our son had an accident in the restaurant and the new manager on their first shift had to provide first aid to a toddler, bleeding with a head injury. This was done, calmly and professionally and their efforts were later praised and acknowledged by nurses and a doctor at Ninewells. We continue to visit regularly and enjoy the great service at BK in Cupar and would highly recommend.
