Naughton Rd, Wormit, Newport-on-TayRecently, I went to this wonderful restaurant with a gorgeous view of the Tay and an awesome staff, and had the best experience. I could not find a better place to propose to my girlfriend. All perfect: the food and dessert were so delicious and the environment is really cozy and welcoming. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff members for helping me to surprise my girlfriend, you were amazing! I strongly recommend this restaurant and will certainly come back!

The Newport Restaurant
1 High St, Newport-on-TayHad a lovely 7 course tasting menu with matching wines. The food and wines were delicious and very well paired together. The staff were very knowledgeable about both food and the wines. The quirky decor in the restaurant is very well done. From the piano cutlery storage to the lamp made of kitchen utensils.

Tay Bridge Kiosk
Newport-on-TayBrilliant little place with great food. There’s also toilets attached which is ideal for long car journeys.It sits on the Tay looking at Dundee and has great views. There’s a free car park which is great if you want to walk/cycle the bridge or even take in a tour of Fife.Food is great and served up very quickly. I had a double cheeseburger and asked them to add bacon and onions, was messy but absolutely outstanding.Small downside is that it’s cash only so make sure you have some with you!Parking: Free parking with tonnes of spots.Kid-friendliness: Kids love burgers. Fact.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s a window facing out on to the car park so very accessible.

Taste of Portugal at the Brig O' Tay
14 Boat Rd, Newport-on-TayAbsolutely fabulous, day out for lunch with friends. Food wonderful, very good imported wine, highly recommend. Only issue was we were all alone in restaurant on a Saturday. Such a shame. But stunning views from our table. Good pricing, clean and a lovely welcome from Bobby and owner, took the time from busy bar to say goodbye also. Thank you, will return. Highly recommend a visit. Bit of a wait for food, cooked fresh well worth it. Well done all. ???

The Fifie
54 High St, Newport-on-TayWent here last night as we were running late and didn’t have time to make anything. Being from Perth we haven’t been here before so popped in. The place was lovely and clean and the 2 young ladies behind the counter were very nice. I ordered a haggis supper and a smoked sausage supper. I was delighted to see the smoked sausage microwaved instead of deep fried. We went out the back to eat in the car. I had 2 portions of haggis and a tonne of chips. Same with the sausage supper. I couldn’t manage it all but did notice they do smaller portions. That will be for my next visit. The food was delicious and I would definitely return.

1 Boat Brae, Newport-on-TayGreat view, great food and great service We enjoyed fish and chips; delicious beer batter and tasty peas. Then shared a fruit crumble with ice cream. Perfect rainy Saturday lunch. What a treat.

The Newport Bakery
7 Cupar Rd, Newport-on-TayOccasionally, stop off here for a delicious pastry and a flat white when away to Dundee to teach. Also your granola is phenomenal too, also sausage rolls, just everything.Only 1 thing I'd say, your staff make the Flat whites too hot, had 2 different people make them and it was the same, but I just wait a little and drink, but would be better if we can scoop straight away. Sorry for moaning.
