We stopped on the off chance with no reservation, it was busy when we arrived as there was a coach trip there. The lady at the bar said she could seat us for food in half an hour so we returned and my partner had the haddock and chips which he enjoyed and I had the scallops and black pudding starter as my main. Lovely place, friendly staff, good pub food. Scallops were great, as was Caesar salad (even though unusually garlicky), other members of our party had fish and chips and burger. They do not serve hot drinks, and won't hold your table for more than 10 Min if you are late! ?
