“Brilliant pub with dining , probably the best in Dumfries & Galloway. The staff are great, Hi to Wayne behind the bar, always a good choice of wines, beers and real ales. The food is outstanding, we have the highland steak everytime. We only stay in Dumfries every 3 yrs or so, but always get in here at least once.”

“I don’t think I can rate The Globe in high enough! I recommend with hesitation, but make sure you book as I saw people turned away. We had a pre-dinner drink before sitting down for what turned out to be a fabulous night. We were attended to by Chitra…..and the service was attentive and outstanding throughout. We had the beef and pork mains (with chips and green beans), followed by Japanese Cheese cake and sticky date. All of the food was wonderful - melt in you mouth comes to mind. A bottle Spanish Rose with the meals and a few drams of whiskey to finish. It was a wonderful experience both from a food and service perspective.
