I don’t think I can rate The Globe in high enough! I recommend with hesitation, but make sure you book as I saw people turned away. I attended the venue with work colleagues for a tour and lunchtime meal. The Globe Inn is steeped in history and was frequented by Robert Burns. It’s a great tour very informative with lots to see. Then there’s the food. You won’t be disappointed. I chose the Ham Hock as a starter. I was intrigued by the Piccalilli and Pineapple Ice cream. My wife and I visited The Globe for the first time for a birthday celebration. We had the tasting menu which was in our opinion good value and contained an interesting range of dishes. We were not disappointed! Each dish was beautifully presented with subtle balances of flavours. The fish dishes were sublime and the ice creams and sorbet delicious.
