Due to my work commitments I often use takeout foods and on a number of occasions headed to the dumfries subway and on a number of occasion’s have found it shut early or been turned away at the door before the advertised closing time.The last occasion I got to the door within 40 mins of closing, there was a notice on the door saying “cash only “ so I walked 60 m to the bank got cash and returned,Entered the shop a tall bloke with lots of piercings said “we’re shut mate”I said you’re joking ! He said no we don’t have enough staff , although there was THREE of them standing there! His attitude was surly and dismissive!The female member of staff saw my obvious annoyance and directed me to another shop .I visit subway regularly, the Carlisle one is great but I will not ever be returning to the dumfries one due to bad attitudes no bread no staff or closed (get a grip) subway!When I drive half an hour to get out meal within the opening hours I expect to be served I feel the staff in this shop are bringing down the subway name!

It says open from 9AM but obviously it’s not! Everytime I try get some food froom Subway around 9:15 door is shut, employees just looked on customers and don’t even bother why they shut or what time they will open. If its open poor customer service.

I order regularly both me and my partner order Italian herb and cheese and only every occasion he will get Italian herb and cheese but for some reason I do not and I'm actually sick of this it's ridiculous when clearly they have it just not listening they need to sort the staff out seriously or I won't be ordering from them again

Was working locally near Dumfries so decided to order my lunch from this location via Deliveroo. As I was working at an out-of-town location and starting very early in the morning with no car access and had no facilities in my hotel, this was my only real lunch option so I ordered from here four times over seven days. I have never seen such dismal service...My office was about 15 mins away from this location but I was told delivery would take up to an hour. OK, seemed a long time to me but I don't mind if you let me know upfront. However, more than once it took this store 90 mins to deliver my sandwich and once it took more than 2 hours. I have worked in a Subway and I know you can get a sub down the line in a couple of minutes so I have no idea why everything took so long.On two occasions, the delivery driver (separate person each time) complained to me that the office location was too hard to find which I would have had more sympathy for if the office wasn't a clearly sign-posted permanent location that the driver on the first delivery didn't seem to have any problem with.I also enjoyed the two out of four deliveries that turned up and were wrong. Obviously, I wasn't prepared to wait another hour for lunch so I made do. To be fair, they didn't try to charge me any extra on the day they sent me an additional sub by mistake.

Oh dear what's happened.......Rude staff, below average service and a dirty environment.. everything the staff do seems to be a chore for them, always shouting at customers who have came in because the shops overcrowded with covid restrictions, then talking derogatory about them with their colleagues in ear shot of customers. Not professional in the slightest. To say the staff are rude is an understatement to be fair.... was a good place for lunch years ago when it first came to dumfries but its the service that taintes the whole experience as the food is always pretty decent.... the place could do with a new attitude and a good clean, it's always empty needs a freshen up to attract people like it used to.
