Most fantastic food. Staff so friendly and happy to talk about the food and history of the place. Will recomend to everyone I know, and some I don't. We will be back.

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent selection of whisky, good wine list, had scallops and the beef, they were both 1st class. Very interesting Robert Burns Museum.

We ate Lunch at the Globe on the 28th of December 2023 in the snug due to our canine company. The food was amazing and we were treated to amuse bouche and other small additions throughout our meal. Exeptional. The Globe's management are dettermined that that they will earn a michelin star, as we were informed by the Maître d' on arrival. The quality of the food and service profess to that desire. Just 2 suggestions. As Maître d' it is not a good look to become involved in an public arguement with customers, no matter how wrong the customer is. Secondly. The Snug is part of the public space it is not a place where the medical needs of staff should be discussed with them. Take those discussions in to the back. Nevertheless, these are small matters. All in all we had a fantastic meal and look forward to returning, star or not.

We weren’t expecting to find such good food during our stay in Dumfries. We were looking for something more simple but as we were visiting between Christmas and New Year our first choice was not open. Cocktails are their own developed by the bartender. You might not see your favourite but try something and you’ll not be disappointed. This is not cheap but the food was worth it. We enjoyed everything we had. The portions may have looked small but two courses was masses. Canapés, amuse bouche and petit fours when we had no room for pudding and our two courses for two + wine + whisky and coffee for £169 was plenty. We enjoyed everything we had though chips might not have been our idea of chips.

Giuseppe’s passion for Robert Burns’ history in the location, and passion for the mission to achieve excellence in dining, is shining and infectiously exciting. The kitchen’s team attention to details and research in all elements of each dish, makes for a truly delicious dining experience. And beyond this, the entire location is simply an incredible place rich of history, art and culture, to immerse yourself in and enjoy deeply. Certainly a must visit place if you want to immerse yourself in both an excellent dining experience and enjoy a unique part of Robert Burns’ history.

What a treasure hidden away in Dumfries. A warm welcome started our lunch off perfectly. The service was great and the food sublime. We had the tasting menu and were all blown away by the presentation as well as the flavours. The general manager showed us around the historic rooms ending a very memorable trip. Would highly recommend.
