Visited The Brig and Barrel today with husband and 7 month old cocker spaniel puppy. Both the husband and the dog were very welcome inside the pub ;-) Infact, there were many other dogs (and husbands) in pub at same time. The staff were very friendly and attentive and even brought our pup a bowl of fresh water. We had the steak pie which was very tasty. Not the cheapest place for lunch, the steak pie was about £16.50 but it was lovely. Very near to the sands at Bellhaven Bay, where we went for a dog walk before lunch.

We looked this place up before going here for a meal and we were not disappointed. A great atmosphere and excellent food and the cost of a beer was also reasonable. It is not the last time we will be there.

Service from the staff was efficient and friendly. The food tasty and filling. Drinks: A decent pint. 5* gem of a pub. Our meal was paid for due to a present of a voucher for the pub. ? Looking for a Christmas or birthday idea? Purchase a voucher for the Brig & Barrel, they won't be disappointed.

Service really friendly and attentive! Looked after us really well. Food was also delicious, and not a long wait even though it was a busy saturday night! Mixed selection ordered throughout the table, I had the pork belly which was amazing! Burgers, scampi and ribs also went down a treat. Only downside was the small dessert offerings but what was on the menu was tasty! Fair prices and would definitely reccomend!
