Lunch today 18/11/23 at the Brig & Barrel. Can recommend everything we chose. Starter: Trio of stovies, warm goats cheese. Main: Belly pork, fish pie. ? Service from the staff was efficient and friendly. The food tasty and filling. Drinks: A decent pint. 5* gem of a pub. Our meal was paid for due to a present of a voucher for the pub. ? Looking for a Christmas or birthday idea? Purchase a voucher for the Brig & Barrel, they won't be disappointed.
Absolutely amazing. Stopped off here as it was a half way point from England to Scotland. My goodness we chose perfect. Greeted with the warmest of welcomes, friendly, cheerful and dog friendly. Shown to a comfy spot and waited on immediately. Food and drinks were delicious. Good price, excellent service and delicious food. Highly recommended! If we lived local this would be our go to place. Thank you for your hospitality xx

We looked this place up before going here for a meal and we were not disappointed. A great atmosphere and excellent food and the cost of a beer was also reasonable. It is not the last time we will be there.
