Agree with previous comments about person behind counter. Really unwelcoming, and I won't visit this shop again. I suspect I'm not the only one. Complete contrast to other shops in Broughty Ferry who have friendly staff. Really hope that things change as the shop itself is a good addition to the Ferry.

The most reluctant, rude, unhelpful owner ever, and the attitude is all a bit worse if you are a woman. I have ignored his behaviour on many occasions but when you are the only person in the shop and he shows no willingness to assist! This man should be kept in the back shop away from customers.

Bought a box of Thorntons Ice Cream Sundae chocolates to put into a hamper I am putting together for a Christmas gift. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed the use by date said 31/12/2020 which I didn't think was right for a gift. I tried to return/exchange the box but was told by the sales assistant that she had spoke to the manager, Mrs Hussian, and as the chocolates were in date and there was nothing wrong with them they would not exchange or refund. Together with the other items I purchased that day I spent £66.60. Mrs Hussian your attitude has lost you a customer, I will never return to your shop again.

Tried to purchase from this store using contactless to minimise risk of infection during the COVID-19 pandemic and the owner refused stating it had to be over £5.00! In a store (newsagent / confectionary) where the majority of goods are below this threshold and during a worldwide crisis where everyone is trying to minimise one to one contact, they are more concerned with their banking charges than health!
