Love this tea
Lovely little tea room at the start of the Hadrian's Wall walk!Parking: Small car park just down the road.
A lovely friendly little cafe tucked away in a courtyard in the middle of Bowness on Solway which when the Sun is shining is beautiful. The coffee tastes great & there is a nice selection of home baked scones and wonderful cakes. A hidden gem open Thurs to Sat. We enjoyed it and often visit when we can.
Great cafe, with gluten free options and the friendliest staff ever. Definitely recommend!
Wonderful vegetarian food in a beautiful setting. Lovely staff - thank you!
A lovely place to stop on the Hadrian's Wall
Quaint little cafe in cosy courtyard in lovely little village on Solway coast. Good menu with a selection of salads, sandwiches, cakes and pastries. We sat outside in the courtyard for our toastie and coconut macaroon and hot drinks just the thing midway in a ride out in the sunshine.
Found this little gem by chance. Had tea and cakes in courtyard in glorious sunshine. Fabulous homemade cakes and freshly brewed tea. Service excellent we will definitely be back and bring friends.Vegetarian options: Not for us but friends would love.
A little gem in the heart of the village.I've visited the tea room several times now and always get a warm welcome. In winter it's lovely to sit inside, by the wood burner and in the warmer weather the courtyard is a little oasis to sit and enjoy a light lunch, coffee and, of course, a delicious slice of homemade cake.My dog was even given some little dog biscuits and made to feel very welcome. The tea room also sells crafts from local people and I've picked up some lovely little presents for family and friends and even one or two for myself. If you like cake, then pear tree tearoom must be on your list to visit.
The homemade cakes are delicious I can recommend the Guinness Cake.
Delicious cakes and beautiful venue, highly recommend a visit!
Called into pear tree tea rooms on traveling through Bowness on Solway and we thoroughly enjoyed our food, and was very pleased with the staff as my wife has dementia and we were given extra time deciding what we were going to have to eat as I have to go through the menu with my wife . Our food was excellent and we hope to call again as my wife felt comfortable.
Cakes and scones beyond delicious. So good we had to bring some away to share with visitors the following day.
An excellent home made quiche lunch was waiting for us when we were delayed on the motorway. The lovely owner stayed open for us and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful setting too.Thank you for your delicious food and warm welcome.
