We were very impressed that the landlord agreed to open early for our walking group and had the fire blazing for us. We had soup and chips and cake along with tea and coffee. A lovely late lunch. Thank you so

Only had 1 real ale on ,but it was good and well kept. The barmaid and locals were very friendly, having just popped in while waiting for the bus back to Carlisle after a walk .Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

My wife and I Stayed at the Kings arms the night before we started our Hadrian's wall walking adventure, on check in we were met by the very friendly staff and shown to our room, the room is not on suite but you do have use of the shared bathroom facilities, the room was nice and the bed very comfy and resulted in a very nice nights sleep. We both enjoyed the evening meal (both went for the Cumbria sausage) which was plentiful and very tasty and enjoyed a few pints in the bar...read full review
