A surprise treat by our friends! We enjoyed a wonderful meal and good company. Delicious food, it was difficult to decide from the menu - it all sounded yummy! Definitely will return!Food: 5/5
Annette and her team of staff were absolutely brilliant. We stayed here after walking the wall. Such a lovely welcome and good food too!I will definitely visit again.
We came here after ending the Hadrians Wall Path hike. It was great. Good food and they sell souvenirs.Food: 5/5
What a little gem of a pub! Unassuming, but not to be underestimated. The Northern welcome, the great food (especially the chips, which are the best!!!) the humour, the locals (Norman, Johnny and Francis) the strawberries in the Lunar gin ??….we stayed at the gorgeous Bank cottage with the ‘infamous’ hot tub….(we have no idea??♀️) and visited the pub fordinner on three occasions because it was so so good! well worth a visit…highly recommend.
The kings Arms has a lovely 'homely' atmosphere. The food is freshly cooked to order. The landlady is lovely as are her staff. If you want to anything about the history of this area ask Pamela and her sister! We have relatives who live nearby and visit often. You will receive a lovely, warm welcome when you visit.
We ate here twice during our stay in a holiday Cottage in the village and on both occasions the food was absolutely fantastic and as for the Norbert on Tripadvisor saying all the food is frozen I think he needs to talk with the lovely owners of The Kings Arms as ALL the food served in here is fresh, homemade and cooked to order so I’m guessing he maybe got mixed up with the Bistro further down the road as there are only two restaurants in the village. The food here is REALLY REALLY good and we can’t recommend it highly enough, also the staff in here are all so lovely, we can’t wait for our next visit here. Keep up the good work and delicious food x
Unpreposessing pub but the welcome given by the hosts and the food were well worth going for. Delicious fish and chips and homemade desserts. The sticky toffee pudding was gorgeous.
Annette and Jude were warm, kind and informative hosts on our few days in Bowness.Lovely pub with great food and chat as we waited for our Hadrian's walk to begin.
Very friendly staff. Good food for dinner and breakfast. Rooms were comfortable and clean.
Fabulous team in this pub, best welcome and couldn't help anymore if they tried. All 10 of us had the best time here. Thank you, we'll be back ?
The most welcoming pub we've ever been to! We stayed in the village for a week and we were made to feel so welcome by the staff and locals.
Really warm welcome, great beer from local Hesket Newmarket Brewery. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the local area.
Good wee village pub with good choice of draught beers, pub food fab.
Nice pub, friendly and welcoming. Opening hours and food service vary during low season. Food is good standard pub grub with a few extra twists. At least one good cask ale on tap.
Fresh food. Great and kind staff. Warm welcome. Great price.
