Our table at The Cannonball Restaurant overlooked the castle and was the perfect backdrop to our amazing 6 course meal. The food was delicious and the service by our waiter Peter was flawless
Superb meal in historic setting. Great use of an old school building -lovely bar. Food was excellent-tasting menu for both with one sampling the vegetarian version. Both thoroughly enjoyed the food -good value for the standard of food. Very pleasant attentive staff-James serving us in the restaurant. Will definitely be back

Came here for our anniversary. I read about Cannonball on Lonely Planet and it did not disappoint! The food was fantastic, the staff were attentive, the view to the Edinburgh castle was super, and their small surprise touched our hearts. We would come again! Highly recommend!
