Ordered our food and waited almost an hour to be served anything at all. To be fair, the staff did apologise - apparently our server should have told us that the chicken would take 40 mins + to be cooked, but she had not. Therefore we were sitting wondering why things were taking so long. The steak was reasonably good but not exceptional. The mash with gravy was really poor - unappetising and flavourless. Disappointing visit for a 50th birthday.1. We booked a table for 6 people. We did not know that all the tables are high mounted booths with high bench seating. There was barely room for 6 people and nowhere to put coats which ended up on laps. Lots of people in the area are older and will struggle with the high seats. My parents are in their 70s. It was absolutely superb! I ordered the special and hubby ordered the sourdough steak, which is a steak sandwich. I have to say, the steak in both was fantastic. We are quite snobby with steak coming from Australia, but I have to say that the steak here is top-notch! And the gravy sauce is WOW! Pity we didn't have a few people with us as their menu also caters to sharing portions.If you love a great steak them this is the place! Loved it, and we would certainly go again....read full review
