I loved Lucas ice cream shop as a kid. Coming back to it as a grown guy was interesting, but perhaps it could do with some service improvement. The food itself is tasty (despite me preferring ice cream that's creamier but that's just a personal preference.). I found the service and staff to be somewhat ok but do their job. It can sometimes be a bit slow. Overall, it's good.

The best award winning ice cream in Edinburgh. Prices are reasonable and not rip off prices for tourists in like some ice cream shops. Staffs are so friendly, when i was there, the upstairs meant to be closed and yet they let certain ppl stayed late and still waiting for friends to meet when it is their time to close. I would have ask them to leave.

I ordered a takeaway knickerbocker glory which I've had numerous times from the morningside shop and I was sorely disappointed it was lacking in fruit and fresh cream also sauce. I go here as they do the best ice cream desserts usually I won't ever buy another it was put into a small ice cream tub when its meant to be in a tall cup as it costs £6 nearly takeaway price I think that is a disgrace xParking: It can be hard to park near to the shop on morningside road

We were only in Edinburgh for four days and visited twice for Luca's exceptional ice cream. The fact that the weather was very autumnal didn't deter. We wouldn't choose a nut sundae again if only because the very generous serving of chocolate sauce masked the delious ice cream a little.
