Great location, hidden gem. Brilliant choice of menu. I had Thai food while my husband had Indian and we both really enjoyed it. Good service, the staff were attentive. Value for money as Edinburgh can be a tad expensive. We would definitely recommend.
Don’t be fooled by the old stone staircase - Shamoli has created a sleek, modern interior in an historic building. Everything was in incredibly clean. Service was excellent and the butter chicken and biryani were well flavoured. We agreed that we would all cheerfully eat here again.

Surprisingly good authentic Indian restaurants in the heart of the old city. Staff made some excellent suggestions and everything from the lamb curry to the garlic naan was quite tasty.
