This is specifically about the restaurant and not the shop in general, as that is a story all on its own.The food is decent and has plenty of options at reasonable prices, so no complaints there at all.Do not expect the best meal in the world but it is extremely efficient self service and freshly cooked in most cases, so good for those that come to visit the castle or the shop.

Food is amazing, albeit a tad expensive. I could have gone mad in the shop but had to restrain myself as the prices were quite a bit above what I could afford. Very very expensive. The Peter Rabbit was £135.

Had a special of the Fish and Chips tea, served with tartar sauce. The fish was an ample sized fillet in batter. This came with a milk shake with cream on the top. A mini cream and jam scone and a brownie served on a slate platter. All for £10 each. Excellent value.Parking: Car park available to the front of the store and spaces available in the designated wooded area.Kid-friendliness: Area for children to play in. Outdoor space also available in the warmer months. Room for buggies around the site. High chairs also available.Wheelchair accessibility: All on one level with room around the shops and restaurant for wheelchairs and buggies.

We arrived about 4.30. We felt that the lady serving us was "unenthusiastic" about our arrival. The restaurant was quiet. We ordered fish and chips. It arrived quickly. It was well prepared and the fish was tasty and fresh. It hasn't put us off Brodie but it would be nice to have a more enthusiastic welcome.

Went for brunch at restaurant, good selection at reasonable prices, meals, light-bites, cakes & coffees, not too busy, disabled parking, toilets & baby changing facilities available, lots of arts & crafts, jewellery, children's toys, pet toys, food & drinks gifts, clothing & footwear, so expect to be there for a while if looking around. Will be back as really enjoyable.

Very underwhelmed. Thought this place would be to a high standard but coffee was bland and cakes past their best. Nice location though and well kept grounds.

Each year we travel from the North East of England for our annual holiday in Morayshire. We always go to the restaurant at Brodie. Sometimes twice in a week. A few years ago on the menu was omelette which I throughly enjoyed so for the last 4 years I have asked for one and always had one made, even when extremely busy. On our visit this year it wasn’t too busy and they refused to make one!! I was so disappointed! My husband got the dinner to find the vegetables were cold and the meat was minimal. Honestly we will think twice about visiting in the future. Most disappointing.

Came specifically for lunch, but I also had a look around the shop.Had the roast beef which was absolutely gorgeous. My friends meals also were fab.The shop is lovely and I bought some great gifts to bring home to Cornwall.Kid-friendliness: Great for children as there is a play area outside.

This is a lovely shop. It's very easy kn the eye and very, very prettily laid out. The merchandise is not cheap overall, but there is a wide range of it to choose from and mostly of local provenance. We tend to go for the food setion and the restaurant, where I'd recommend the breakfast selection as it has something for everyone. However, lots of other pretty nik naks are available, and it's hard not to buy something from the place.

Called in for coffee and cakes on our way to Inverness. As we walked into the eating area the smell of fresh baked scones hit us and reminded us of mothers home baking. It was really busy but we managed to get a table and had 2 scones and 2 coffees, at under £12.00 for two it was good value and would highly recommend. A great gift shop selection too, a little pricey for some items but I guess it goes with the territory. If you are passing and are peckish then do call in.

Been here quite a lot and it has never disappointed. Food is great especially the Cullen skunk. Friendly service and not a long wait considering how much diner's there are. Very nice building and great choice of Deli food and local produce. We always stop on way to Inverness and home again. Highly recommended

food was excellent, simple food, and reasonably priced. restaurant bright and clean, staff taking the orders helpful. however, when went to pay the lady on the left hand till is ignorant. No acknowledgement of me saying hello to her, no thank-you or bye, had to ask for a receipt.

This place is amazingly good food and very fairly priced. Very nicely stocked store with a variety of clothing, kitchen, and home goods. I highly recommend it.
