Family run inn, with good food and drinks. The owners are kind and reserved, still ready to strike a conversation. Located in a quiet village with plenty of beautiful walks in the area and a play park just close by.

Went to this delightful little country pub for dinner and wos not disappointed. Warm and friendly reception, seated straight away and the service as well as the food wos first class. I had the salt and pepper squid and prawns followed by the venison burger both were amazing and well cooked and all washed down by a pint lovely. Its a little out of the way but we'll worth setting your satnave and paying it a visit

My wife and I had an excellent Easter Sunday lunch on the 9th April last. I had Breaded Haddock and Chips, absolutely fresh and cooked to perfection. Had the Garvald Inn been a mile or two nearer the Firth of Forth, and the haddock jumped from Firth to Frying Pan, it could not have been fresher. My wife had the Steak and Ale Pie; she found that excellent, as were the tasty carrots and cabbage, the latter with a delicious sauce.
