Read about this venue online and there are a lot of positive reviews going back some time (although some recent Tripadvisor reviews are not so favourable). On arriving at Mount Florida the venue didn't appear as a shining and well lit emporium of delights on a rain sodden evening - I drove past and wondered if it was actually open for business. Loved the haddock in this chippy. It says inside that this is their speciality. Batter was light and not greasy and the fish was fantastic. It was a huge portion of chips and less than £8 so great value. I wasn't massively keen on the chips so only 4 stars. They had some other good looking items on the menu like calamari and fish cakes. Not the normal items on a Scottish menu. Its great to see.

£27 for two suppers - both mid and chips were pretty rubbish.Staff were strange and seemed like they didn't want us to be there - all in all, not worth remortgaging your house for.
