The first time we had a Subway we both had breakfast one & were pleasantly surprised! It was very busy, so I didn't have a chance to peruse the menu as well as would have if quieter. Knocked 1 star off as so busy couldn't peruse menu but apart from that was impressed. Always wondered what it was all about now I know! Forgot to say we got milk chocolate cookies too mmm! Haha ? Naughty but nice!

Doing well too keep their cool in the middle of the building works all around the shopping centre. Can be very busy at times so if you're thinking of a subway and there's no queue, get it.Sep '23, building works all gone and seats outside.

Haven’t had a Subway for about 10 years (when husband diagnosed as coeliac) until we stopped at Gretna today. Staff were nice and professional, and food was very tasty. Husband was very happy with his GF sun. Tables clean, stock tidy.

Really disappointed by our visit today. Very bad service, the staff simply wanted to go home and we were in the way. No customer service, staff were just annoyed by our presence. It was 15mins before closing and all the salad etc had been put away leaving you to guess what to have and a reduced menu as hot options had been put away for the next day. Everything was an effort. Wanted to leave but had very limited choice of places to eat while travelling. Food ok but not worth the money.

Firstly, on entering, 2 staff members were serving another customer. We were not acknowledged and the man's body language was shocking. He was very slow and prior to ordering we checked there was salad as none was on display (in the back). When it finally came to being served, the man looked miserable. He seemed annoyed having to serve. When I asked for mustard dressing he grudgingly brought sauces for me to see when I asked what they had (again was put away) I wanted ham but it looked disgusting. I still refused it. He said it was just bits of bread! We almost walked out but after travelling hours the kids needed to eat We paid (32.00) and as it was pouring when we said we would sit in. He said the seating area shuts in 5 mins. I would say the bread had seen better days. It didn't appear very fresh! Personally I use subway a lot but certainly won't be using that one ever again!

Terrible service/staff attitude. I asked for a vegetarian sub and was asked if I wanted them to change their gloves after previously touching meat. Shouldn’t this be standard? Clearly unhappy when I said yes and my sub was almost thrown at me.

I really loved the food here! I always come here twice a week as I always do, the food here is very nice! The place isn’t dirty. The people are very nice and delightful! I love this place so much! It’s my favourite!

Girls serving us were so rude! Just slammed the food down. They were hardly toasted and breakfast items inside were so dry, don’t think they were fresh! Won’t be back! Waste of £13.

We stopped here after a long journey back from Oban with my 3 hungry kids and husband. The lady that served us was polite, kind and caring and showed real interest towards my youngest autistic child who was struggling by this point. She tried to engage in his special interest (Spiderman) and was so kind. Staff are a credit to their boss, thank you for along a hellish journey a little more bearable. ?

Just visited Subway Gretna Green gateway and was meet with the most pleasant, lovely service ever in a subway restaurant. Megan was just lovely, helpful and chatty made our visit! The store it’s self has had a freshen up since our last visit which was rather unpleasant with grumpy staff! Subway you definitely have a diamond in your staff with Megan! ?

Staff very unwelcoming. Food looked wilted and past it's best. Considering where this subway is I would have thought that customers would have been more welcoming and that the food would be more appealing like most other places . Would avoid at all costs ???
