The Crown & Thistle

The food was gorgeous! I was really impressed with this restaurant, everything was locally sourced and the quality of food was great here! Server's were attentive, and the young man who served us was funny, charming and helpful! I will definitely be back, my highlights were the raspberry sorbet, the pithivier and ALL of the tasting of pork dish, wonderful food, great attention to detail in food, decor and service and extremely filling!

Gretna Chase Hotel

We absolutely loved our stay here for our wedding. We stayed in the gorgeous bridal suite. Food was great, absolutely no complaints at all. Staff were amazing throughout our wedding stay & so helpful and accommodating. Thank you so much for an amazing weekend!

Old Toll Bar Cafe

Very easy to get to as it's just off the motorway. Lovely homemade lunches enjoyed by the whole family. Will now be our go to restaurant when in this area, highly recommended.

Gretna Hall Hotel

We had our wedding ceremony there on 24th March at Gretna, could not fault the Hotel, all guests stayed over for 2 nights 20 and we had a super time❤️❤️And the sun shone the whole day xRooms: John and I had a bridal suite couldn't fault itAlso no complaints from any of our guestsWalkability: Gretna Hall is walkable to the Blacksmiths and shopsFood & drinks: Food perfect from start to finish, couldn't fault, presentation very good considering the amount of weddings going onHats off to all the staff in particular the chefs ??

Metal Bridge Inn

Great staging post for van and motorhome travellers on the way to Scotland. Two meals and two desserts and drinks for 45 quid, a tidy stop over in the van with clean facilities. Nothing to complain about whatsoever. Thumbs up ?

Mystic Palace

Brilliant chinese only waited 15 minutes had sweet n sour prawns and sweet n sour chicken and rice and chips ,cooked perfectly .Will never go to longtown chinese again its disgusting they can't even cook chips properly

Sark Services

I was travelling through Gretna and came across Nando’s, the staff were lovely and the fish and chips were incredible. The ice cream was to die for. Definitely will visit again, I highly recommend.

The Gretna Inn

We went for a meal last Saturday afternoon, I had the steak and ale pie, absolutely beautiful, my partner had chicken cougons with chips and salad, he wasn't impressed he thought he was getting spicy chicken with chips, he still enjoyed his meal, the staff were very pleasant, the restaurant was very clean and welcoming, also the toilet facilities were kept very clean, I'd recommend the gretna inn for a meal as it's very reasonable priced you get a good plate of food.Nearby activities: Gretna shopping complex, out let stores, also some nice walks near by if you have a dog.Food & drinks: Very reasonably priced you get what you pay for,

Pizza Express

Super friendly and lovely store, went to collect a too good to go bag but they had cancelled, good in a way there wasn't any food going to waste but unfortunately not when I had driven 20 miles to get it. Staff were so friendly and helpful and because I treated them with respect and kindness they returned this and I was sent away with some fresh food. Thank you very much to the team at Pizza Express Gretna.

The Cadbury Shop

Great place to stop when going to Scotland! We always pop into the shop a few times a year - the mixed bags of chocolate are very good value, and it's great to go near Easter time to grab some creme eggs! Their merchandise is lovely too - I've purchased tea towels, keyrings & tote bags from here and they've been brilliant as gifts!

Smiths at Gretna Green Hotel

Everything to do with the wedding was perfect. Public areas downstairs are nice and can't fault the food, however, the rooms are a different story. Definitely not worth the money, so many issues.Rooms: Our party had 5 rooms and 4 of them had problems. 2 were given different rooms but they were no better, one was actually worse. Very overpriced for the quality.Food & drinks: Food was delicious both in the restaurant and for the wedding

Coffee medium £4.50 expensive ,my gran god bless her she'd batter me for paying that ,when she brought up 8 children all girls on rabbit home grown veg ,home baking,rashing books ?

Costa Coffee

Was absolutely jam packed due to comicon being on but it was great as all the staff were dressed up. The coffee mug was huge! The pastries nice and the toasty was okay too.Good service and they did well to keep on top of cleaning up after folks. Considering how busy it was. I would go again.

I've been there many times when I was young now I'm old I don't go as much I used I remember the young people to run away to get married Gretna Green registry for marriages I have a lot of friends leave it now there's a lot of things he can see I like the Piper I like the sound of them and I like the food too to me it's one brilliant and fantastic place I'm there so much you can do that just look around and you'll see what you want to see and what what you want to do take it from me the splinted to do and if you're going to spend the day and you get stuck there's always a hotel for the night don't forget I told you that to me Gretna Green is a dark mystery you find it out for yourself goodbye

Subway

The first time we had a Subway we both had breakfast one & were pleasantly surprised! It was very busy, so I didn't have a chance to peruse the menu as well as would have if quieter. Knocked 1 star off as so busy couldn't peruse menu but apart from that was impressed. Always wondered what it was all about now I know! Forgot to say we got milk chocolate cookies too mmm! Haha ? Naughty but nice!

Burger King

Menu on the wall needs updating , Tried to order bean burger and even the staff was surprised its no longer offered . In the contrary the staff member Keiron was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help us order something vegan and informed us that they do not fry the burger in the same oil as the fish and egg .

The Village Restaurant

The lady serving on the counter was very friendly and professional. The food was very good and the place was dog friendly, which was a bonus to us. Highly recommend this establishment.Parking: Perfect for shopping and a nice day out.
