“A very lovely place, actually situated in a lovely village called Denholm outside of Hawick,very welcoming pleasant friendly staff. We booked a table for 6 in the restaurant. Which was very well laid out, with plenty of space for wheelchair access. The food was 1st class, absolutely gorgeous, they steak and ale pie was very tasty as was the salted caramel cheesecake.. Definitely recommend.Food & drinks: Drinks and food are reasonably priced, and the food was delicious.”

“Called in at the Fox & Hound in Denholm for the first time on our way back from Hawick todayWhat a lovely wee, welcoming pub.Spotlessly clean, lovely atmosphere, welcoming landlord,nice open fire, so cosy and comforting.We had lunch. Food was excellent and plenty of it, great prices. Its 35ml for a spirit. If you are out that way, defo well worth a visit. We will definitely be back.”

“Came across this place on my way to Hermitage Castle. Most unexpected. Old train engines and carriages on bits of railway lines. It was part of the old line between Hawick and Carlisle.It's only open occasionally and was closed when I was there. Still worth stopping and taking a look.”

“Had a lovely meal here with quick service and in a bright, welcoming environment. Have dropped one star for service only because the order was mistakenly processed incorrectly. This was, however, rectified immediately with apologies and did not detract from the experience. Will definitely return.”
