Called in on route to Berwick. It's nice to stop off at a lovely village and try something different. We chose the chicken and Haloumi (Milano) ciabbatta, which was tasty. Worth a visit if you are in the area

I thought the waiter quite sullen and not at all very friendly, quite brusk. Not at all the sort of service one would expect with an Italian links. The food was warm, not hot with cold plates. All in all, not a good experience and agreed by our accompanying friends. Chay Blyth

If I could give the service 6 stars I would. Only problem with this place is that it’s 100 miles from me ?. Food and service excellent thank you. No pictures sorry eat the food rather than take photos. Presentation was spot on.

I was hoping to like this little restaurant more than I did.Denholm is a nice little village between Jedburgh and Hawick, so I guess it needs friendly little places for people to use regularly, and I appreciate how hard it is to run a business at the moment. However, it needs to be said, I honestly didn't find it a particularly nice atmosphere. The greeting wasn't friendly, and I felt like perhaps we were "in the way", maybe because we aren't local, who knows. There was a family group of 8 of us.We had a range of food (not a huge menu choice as one would expect due to a small establishment) of pizzas and pasta. What we had was nice, but they were small portions for the price. One of the dishes was unavailable and weirdly felt, by the tone, that we "should have known" (perhaps there was a sign up, but we didn't see anything).There is a small car park, but it isn't needed as there is parking on the road around the green area. It's probably a good idea to book during "peak" times, I would assume.Anyway, it is a nice place to visit, but personally, I would not be in a rush to return.

I had penne alfonso and it wasn't the best for it's price. Also the pint of lemonade was quite expensive for the amount given I mean I can get a whole 2 litres for 50p from most supermarkets.

A couple in our 50s - we enjoyed really tasty food. Actual, stop in your tracks - wow! This is GREAT! Perfect service too. The Napoli soup was something I had not tried before and a new taste sensation. My partner has mussels and then we both had different pasta dishes. There was a dessert to share and super coffee to finish. Love it. Easy parking, in a quiet village setting. Top marks all round. Again!

Visited for Birthday lunch..was not disappointed. Food was delicious..Nice menu, lots to choose from. Atmosphere very nice. Took my 4 year old who ate all 3 courses! Very nice place to eat, will be visiting again.
A lovely little restaurant which has a really welcoming atmosphere.We came for lunch on New year's Eve and the food was just amazing. Large portions, reasonable pricing, everything was fresh, cooked to perfection, and tasted delicious. Even though we had no room for dessert we still took home two of the fresh baked cakes to enjoy later in the evening.This is the second time we've been and it definitely won't be the last. I'd recommend it to anyone in the area.

If you like Italian food you will love this place authentic products well prepared good value and service could not be faulted and the coffee was excellent as well . Also sell the ingredients for cooking Italian food as well as antiques so good afternoon out recommend you visit if in area ?

Friendly staff, very attentive, and pleasant experience. Excellent cabbage soup, then delicious Genovese (veal). Puddings ok ( carrot cake and tiramisu, a bit low on taste and high on whipped cream) but overall very enjoyable. Too far, 50miles, or we would visit more regularly.

Chose to go here for our wedding anniversary lunch and it was excellent. My baked goats' cheese and peppers crostini was delicious, so was Pasta Alfonso. Finished with a biscotti and cream with coffee, all nicely cooked. Friendly atmosphere and helpful staff so we go here frequently. Highly recommended.
