My wife and I visited the Wee Restaurant last Saturday at 7:30 for the first time, and the overall experience was excellent. I had the scallops to start and the lemon sole main, Eileen had the ribeye, and we both had the lovely hot-to-the-end skin-on fries as a side. If you visit, make sure to take advantage of the sourdough bread; it is superb. It is small, and when busy, it can get a tad noisy due to the intimate surroundings. Our waiter was efficient and friendly. The only negative thing I want to add is that when you go in, there are two small sets of steps to choose from, so I went up one and immediately stood amongst several diners with no staff around. At this point, I backed off, thinking I had made a mistake and went up to the other set. Again, we had the same scenario; we got spotted by a waitress, and she showed us to our table. I know it is wee, but a waiting point for new visitors or even a buzzer in the back to let them know someone has just arrived would be good. That aside, I would highly recommend the wee restaurant and its fine dining.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience here! My server (Ethan if I remember correctly) was very friendly, welcoming and attentive. I cannot put into words how DELICIOUS my meal was. I had the ribeye steak with a beautiful peppercorn sauce, followed by the home-made sorbet sundae, both were absolutely 10/10.It’s a cosy restaurant with a homely atmosphere, would absolutely recommend to anyone thinking about visiting!

We have been looking forward to visiting the restaurant for a while now. It was worth waiting for. Great experience from entering a small two room split tier setup. Loved the food and the the service. Lobster to share as a starter. Mains of 32 day aged black isle Ribeye Steak and Kirriemuir Venison. Iain Mellis Cheese board and Creme Brulee to finish. All 10/10. They also do mouth watering cocktails.

Wow. Even the walk to and from this restaurant is lovely. My partner and I received a warm and friendly welcome, and were given the option of where we wanted to be seated. The service only continued to improve from there.During our visit, we were never left waiting for food or drinks. The menu was stunning and we ended up having 3 courses of delicious, beautifully presented food! Even the side dishes (truffle & Parmesan fries and chilli and garlic beans) were amazing! My fillet steak was cooked to perfection. The cocktails were so impressive and delicious. Highly recommend the Mango and Chilli Margarita and the Lemon Meringue Pie. We also had the Pinot Noir which was wonderful. The pricing is so reasonable considering the beautiful quality! The portions were also very generous in my opinion. This is such a beautiful little restaurant. The food and drinks were absolutely fantastic and the service was second to none. My partner and I enjoy dining around the world and this is by far the best meal we’ve both had in a long time!We cannot wait to go back and sample more of the menu ❤️ Thank you for a lovely experience.

The service, presentation and taste - absolutely first class and without a fault. For starters we had Iberico Ham with rocket and sourdough special and Scallops with Black pudding. Loved the ham, light, tasty and great combination. The scallops were THE BEST ever had and the black pudding was sooooo tasty and unbelievablysmooth.Mains were Halibut and Venison from the menu and again, wow the combination of flavours were soooo delicious.Lastly, we had apple Tarte tatin and Ile Flotante with creme anglais and rhubarb..... Wow, deserts were soooo light and perfect end to a meal.See pictures ....Will definitely be back for another special occasion.Thank you.

Tiny restaurant with excellent food and service. We were gifted a voucher and it was easy to book and use. Will definitely return.Parking: We parked in the council car park near the Forth Bridge and it's a lovely walk to and from the restaurant. The streets are narrow and buses use the Main Street so this seems the best option during the day. Not sure for evening as the car park is closed overnight.

Excellent choices on the menu, spoilt for choice. The mussels were delicious, amazing creamy sauce. We had cod for the main course with very tasty sea veggies, unusual and the sides were delicious. We tried the non alcoholic gin with ginger ale, lovely. Highly recommend and we will be back. Thanks

First time at The Wee Restaurant and loved it. We had the place to ourselves as Jan is a quiet month. Food was amazing. Loved the scallops and halibut. Good size of halibut! Waiter Ethan was helpful, chatty and happy. Chef & waiter even came out to wish me a happy birthday, and sang! We all had a lovely evening. Thank you. Will recommend to friends and family.

Fabulous meal in a lovely setting with good music played in the background. Highly recommend the ribeye and a wonderful apple tarte tatin. Great location to take the love of your life snuck just under the forth rail bridge. With parking just on the door step and would advise to book online in advance.

Ate here with friends on 16.12.23. A meal of a lifetime. Lunch back in September 2023 (beautiful Halibut) merited a return visit. The “Calamari Friti”, not their description was cooked to perfection (a nice crunch). Fellow diners started with plump scallops beautifully seared. Cod with a lobster cream sauce followed (surprising amount of lobster). Fellow diners had the Turkey dinner which was delicious. Not normally a pudding person but the signature tarte tatin exceeded the hype. It was only after I left that I realised I hadn’t even thought about asking for salt or pepper (perfect seasoning). In addition to the cooking being faultless so was the service. Ambience lovely too. Well worth a trip out from Edinburgh, Dunfermline or (in our case) Stirling. Remarkable value for money given a menu with high quality protein. Will be back asap.

What an amazing restaurant just across the Forth, in Fife. We had the festive menu and every dish we had was just fantastic. Service is great, staff is very friendly. The place is rather small and cozy so booking a table might be challenging. But definitely worth the wait.
