The Wee Restaurant
17 Main St, North Queensferry, InverkeithingMy wife and I visited the Wee Restaurant last Saturday at 7:30 for the first time, and the overall experience was excellent. I had the scallops to start and the lemon sole main, Eileen had the ribeye, and we both had the lovely hot-to-the-end skin-on fries as a side. If you visit, make sure to take advantage of the sourdough bread; it is superb. It is small, and when busy, it can get a tad noisy due to the intimate surroundings. Our waiter was efficient and friendly. The only negative thing I want to add is that when you go in, there are two small sets of steps to choose from, so I went up one and immediately stood amongst several diners with no staff around. At this point, I backed off, thinking I had made a mistake and went up to the other set. Again, we had the same scenario; we got spotted by a waitress, and she showed us to our table. I know it is wee, but a waiting point for new visitors or even a buzzer in the back to let them know someone has just arrived would be good. That aside, I would highly recommend the wee restaurant and its fine dining.

Rankin's Cafe
4 Main St, North Queensferry, InverkeithingFantastic little coffee shop, very cosy with tasteful decor. Food was also really good, but the highlight was the fantasticly friendly staff, even answering my questions about the brand of black pudding they use (which was really good!). It's a truly lovely little stopover for aome light lunch while exploring the quaint village of North Queensferry.Parking: You need to go up the road towards the bridge and park in the lot there, it's a short walk to the café.

The selection of sandwiches and cakes went down well with a lovely addition of sausage rolls and pizza. A really good variety with all tastes catered for. I will certainly recommend yellow for future working lunches.

The products and value for money are top notch only thing that lets the shop down are the staff.Over the course of the last few months visiting I have experienced, waiting longer than needed due to staff blethering to each other and finishing their conversation before serving,l, a member of staff who constantly interrupts while staff are serving to ask questions about stock or if they have completed certain tasks, look I’m a busy individual and all I want is to be served efficiently and quickly so I can continue with my work. These issues are shared among other workers who visit the store from a local power station site and we all have the same opinion, please stop the blethering, ans just serve us.It’s such a pity as this is a top notch bakery selling amazing products!

Friendlies
10 High St, InverkeithingVisited twice this week for thin noodles and curry sauce and they were amazing, very tasty and very much enjoyed. I’m on crutches and the counter staff were awesome and even helped me to put my order in my bag which was above and beyond and very much appreciated.

124 Mid St, KeithBursa chicken, doner kebab, and chicken kebab..... Very very good! Generous portions to say the least. Wish they had room for a table or two.... Found a park up the road and had a nice picnic on the grass watching a guy throw a ball for his dog. Would definitely recommend!

Asked if they were still open, and the person working up front ushered me in, was super polite and friendly, made me more food than I needed. Went above and beyond in every aspect. Service, price, quality, attitude.
