Superb food and service in a quiet and intimate little restaurant. We had two courses, the mains (venison) perfectly cooked and presented, with excellent flavour combinations. Desserts - the sorbets were excellent with punchy fruit flavours and perfect texture. Cheeseboard had a selection of superb cheeses at just the right temperature. Service was spot on, friendly, efficient, excellent. I've used the word excellent a lot in this review. Rightly so!
Enjoyed the sharing chateau briande this evening. Perfection. Delicious, melt in the mouth, tasty perfection. The sides we chose of chips were incredible, crispy outside, soft in the middle. Ile flottante and sorbet sundae did not disappoint. Light meringue and delicious berries. The sorbets were outstanding, particularly the mango. Perfect service as always and a thoroughly lovely evening. Brilliant wee food heaven.
