On their website they advertise Monday-Friday deals on lunchtime meals. 2 course for £11.95 and 3 course for £13.95.That was the main reason that my family and I went here yesterday.Only to be given a menu that was 'reduced'. When we asked about the lunchtime deals, we were told that they don't honour it until April and that is despite 'loads of guests asking, specifically the folk from the hotel next door'.When we pointed out that surely that is against trading standards, we were told, 'that's what everyone says'.The menu still had the items on that we would have chosen on the deal, but we weren't allowed the deal. Not good, not good at all.We won't be back.

Went in for Sunday lunch. Wont be back. On sitting down, we were informed they were not serving the full menu. This was disappointing as we had looked at the menu online and chosen what we would eat.I chose smothered chicken from the limited menu. My food was burnt crispy, the coleslaw was so vinegary it was inedible. Not good food and we wont be back.

Stayed at the premier Inn next door and was here for a week. Menu was atrocious. No vegan options, only one vegetarian option of lasagne. Asked for an orange juice, none. Don't know what's happened to this kind of place, but it is very poor.Vegetarian options: There are none!!

The lasagna was over cooked, soggy and blandThe steaks were also overcooked, the mushroom well past their best, old and shrivelledThe chicken again overcooked and the bacon inedible. The chips however were cold and undercooked
Restaurant was freezing! Waited (and ignored) although previously booked for a table! Chips all over the floor when eventually seated, and the table was covered in salt…. Would’ve walked out but was staying at the hotel, steak was ordered as medium rare and of course it was like leather and overdone. Cancelled the dessert and left. Very disappointed.

Staff are fantastic and are working so hard! They were down 1 staff member and you could see how much running around they were doing. Manager gave us a table for 2 even though we hadn't booked and they were very busy.Food is mediocre...we both had the fish and chips and it was okay. Mushy peas were solid, probably hadn't been defrosted well!Dessert is okay, I've got the apple pie and it's not the best. My husband has had the kit kat sundae and hasn't said a word whilst he's demolishing it! Clearly loves it.

Which I could review this properly , turned up on Sunday to be told they only had one person in the kitchen and unless we are staying in the hotel they cannot serve us.
