Very unwelcoming. If you are expecting authentic indian food please don’t visit this restaurant. Food quality was bad too. The curry was fillled with oil and alot of vegetables. Couldn’t even eat 1 nan bread with a whole portion of curry. Very poor

Had a great meal tonight at your restaurant a birthday dinner and was perfect ??

We were told this was the best Indian in Inverness. I found it meh. Our nan was burnt and the mashallah was way too sweet. But the service really annoyed me. They addressed my husband like I wasn’t there. I had to wave down help multiple times and really felt ignored. We went at 5 and there was no one else there so being busy wasn’t the reason.

The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere and a relaxing vibe. The meal was delicious and the chicken was really tender - the best we have had at an indian restaurant! The pints of Cobra were cold - highly reccomended!

This was my second visit to this restaurant and it was fantastic. Food was as good as my first visit. If you are in Inverness for business or leisure, this is a great place to get a bite to eat.Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is unfortunately, from what I am aware, not wheelchair accessable.

I make a point of coming here when I can. The karahi curries here are highly recommended. Pictured is a pathia curry, which was just what I needed as I was under the weather. A bit of jaggery, chillies and antioxidant spices soon chase the end of a cold away.

This will be the first and last time I'm visiting this place.Even though staffs are Indians, I felt so much rasicm toward us. Such a unpleasant welcoming and we felt so much insult. They should learn how to behave and treat customers. If any Indians are looking for authentic food please stay away from this place. This is not the place for you.Don't see the good reviews and fall in this trap (they really don't know what is real Indian food) there are lot of good restaurants they serve good food and service.

Worst experience since I have steped my feet in this beautiful country. Too much racism towards Indians while most of the staffs are Indians. All curries tastes same, nothing so tasty to be so proud of. I hope when the staff members goes to have food somewhere they get treated similar way for being an Indian.

Vegetarian options: My daughter is vegetarian and would love to dine here.
Ate here on Wednesday night and was pretty busy . We had poppadoms , onion bhaji , veg pakora , then chicken tikka biryani and a chicken bhuna with pilau rice . We shared a garlic nan . Everything was really tasty and fresh , the bhaji was so crispy and the nan so light and fluffy . Chicken was moist and great flavour to the curries . Had 2 pints of cobra and 2 perroni zero and was £75 . The portion sizes were good and staff very friendly and efficient. Left pretty stuffed and will not leave it so long between visits the next time . There’s been a couple of poor reviews recently and it nearly put me off but we had a cracking meal and would definitely recommend.

When you arrive this looks, sounds and smells reassuringly like a good, solid BIR - and it is. But don't be fooled into thinking it's ordinary, because the Rajah serves food of an unusually high standard. Everything from the brilliant (home made?) lime pickle onward was fresh and zingy. We ordered three fairly hot mains all of which were spiced in a way that really sang (compared to the dismal chilli cosh you get in some places), the breads were fluffy and crispy and the starters perfect examples of their type. The service was friendly, professional and attentive without crowding us. 10/10, unreservedly recommended.Poppadoms and picklesMeat samosaVeg samosaOnion bhajiBalti chicken madrasBalti chicken tikka jalfreziBalti chilli-garlic chicken2× plain naansChapatiBottle sauvignon blancPint lager£120

We have always gone to this Indian Restaurant when visiting Inverness, but were slightly sceptical having read recent reviews. We needn't have worried; very welcoming staff, extremely busy restaurant, great food as usual! Really not sure about where the negative reviews came from! Can't wait to go back! Lovely chat with the staff, especially as they alleviated our concerns when they heard us chatting about he negative reviews!!
