When you arrive this looks, sounds and smells reassuringly like a good, solid BIR - and it is. But don't be fooled into thinking it's ordinary, because the Rajah serves food of an unusually high standard. Everything from the brilliant (home made?) lime pickle onward was fresh and zingy. Booked in here for a friend's birthday after being disappointed by another restaurant, The Rajah not only accommodated us, but did so efficiently, the staff were absolutely fantastic, the food was amazing. I always enjoy going here, its cosy and the staff are always welcoming.

It was my first time, but it certainly won't be the last. Very tasty food and friendly staff on the phone and face to face too. I'm looking forward to tasting their meal again.
