“Just lovely. We escaped the wind and rain for a delicious seafood chowder and mackerel pate. Tea was perfect. Our dogs were made so welcome! A really great stop off with very kind and friendly people working there.”

“We'd visited this bakery on our last visit to Dunvegan about 3 years ago, and it was that good that we've spoken about numerous times since. So goes without saying that we had to visit again upon our return!
If you're anywhere near the vicinity, do yourself a favour and drop in for some food! It's not just the oldest Bakery in Skye, it's the best in my opinion!”

“What can I say! Seating is outside next to the Port, the view is beautiful and it's a serene place. The pickled herring salad was the best I've had in a long time. It was colorful, cheerful with a variety of textures with every bite. The herring was sweet and sour and it went well with everything on the plate. It was a joy to eat it.”

“Family friendly restaurant, fabulous staff eager to help. The food was amazing, we had pizza, mozzarella sticks and my husband had a chilli oil dip which was mega hot if thats what you enjoy. The complementary water came in handy for his burning mouth.
When visiting Scotland again would love to go back.”

“If you’re a seafood lover visiting London, The Oyster Shed is a must-visit spot. Located right on the Thames, it offers stunning river views — especially beautiful at sunset — and a lively yet relaxed atmosphere.
The oysters are fresh, plump, and perfectly presented, with a selection that changes depending on the day’s catch. Their seafood platters are generous and beautifully arranged, featuring prawns, mussels, crab, and smoked salmon, making it an ideal sharing experience.
The wine and champagne list is well-curated to complement the seafood, and the staff is knowledgeable in recommending perfect pairings. Service is generally friendly and efficient, even during busy hours.
While prices are on the higher side, the quality, location, and ambiance make it worthwhile. It’s a great place for a casual yet refined lunch or a romantic dinner with a view of the river.
⭐ Rating: ★★★★☆ (4.5/5)
Best for: Oyster enthusiasts, seafood platters, riverside dining.”
