A lovely area and nice distillery, that sadly has been commercialized too much. The tour is closer to 20mins, copy-paste info provided with no heart and soul. Tasting is interesting if you've never had Talisker before, we got to try the Talisker 10, Skye and 2024 Distillers, which was lovely.DO NOT buy any whiskey from their distillery shop! It's +20% pricier than UK supermarkets, because of course it is.I would suggest turning to a different Distillery (not Diageo-owned) if you want an authentic experience.

Visit of the distillery at a leisurely pace, no real effort to speak a little more slowly for foreigners. The tasting is interesting.

Very informative distillery tour and tasting with Ian. For drivers, they have little bottles in a Talisker box to take your drams from the tasting home- great idea! The visitor centre is very impressive too with a well stocked shop and lovely 'campfire' tasting bar. Distillery is in a beautiful location by Loch Harport and would be worth a visit even without going on the tour. Many thanks Ian and the team for a great experience!

Popped in today and my husband tried a couple of drams at the bar, we were blown away when we walked in! It’s very stylish and premium experience but also very friendly and the man behind the bar was wonderful, knowledgeable and made it! The shop has lots of whisky’s and merchandise which was very tempting. We didn’t do the tour but would love to come bank. This is a must do when in Skye as it gives you an understanding of the link between the sea and the whisky!

Enlarged facilities. Fascinating tour by very knowledgeable guide followed by lunch in the Three Chimneys at Talisker. Lovely food and great staff. Expanded gift shop with plenty to offer. I got almost all my presents

Imaginative and insightful 'Made By The Sea Tasting Experience' led by Mike (September 2023)It was not our first, but certainly the most impressive whiskey tasting experience we've had. The quality presentation and lighting effects were just the tip of the iceberg. What left the biggest impression was how Mike (our tasting guide) helped lead us through and explain how to see, smell and only then taste whiskey. We've taken these lessons and applied them ever since, even going as far as leading our friends through a similar experience back in Lithuania.I usually dislike the word, but there is no better fit here - thank you for this transformative experience!

The island's distillery, which is well established. We didn't visit it (reservation required), but we still stopped by the shop. Since it is part of a group, there are several products, which we will also find elsewhere.Very beautiful building, poorly maintained access road, commercial as desired

Excellent tour of the distillery delivered by Florin. Absolute class act, very funny and very knowledgable. Highly recommend a tour if you’re up that way!

I’m so surprised this isn’t closer to 5 stars - Talisker was an incredible stop. The warm, informative, wonderful staff made the experience unforgettable. George and Anna were beyond knowledgeable and taught us so much about Talisker and scotch in general. I was unable to drink, but they still made my experience great. They really went above and beyond and I couldn’t recommend this spot more. Even if you don’t think you love peaty Scotch, they’ll change your mind!

Amazing to see the working distillery and talk with people in the know about a Whisky we love in Australia. The tour was awesome and our host Florin was a funny bugger. Teaching us all about Whisky.A lovely discount was offered along with the tour but the huge Scottish taxes meant it’s not worth buying here but we will pick some duty free up on the way home.

We visited with Anna who shared her passion with us with good humor. It was particularly interesting.I am not a whiskey expert but the tasting allowed me to learn a lot.Everything is planned if you wish not to drink alcohol during the tasting. You can take the cuties home with you. The tasting will be olfactory and visual.

The distillery is almost 200 years old. The visit to the distillery is interesting and the tasting is an engaging experience that I recommend to enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts. For those who drive or don't want to drink, a kit of bottles is available to take away the tasting whiskeys.I recommend reaching the distillery via bus from Portree so you can attend the expert tasting.A shop and a bar are available to visitors where you can purchase exclusive or limited series bottles priced up to 4,500 pounds.Driving along the roads that lead to the distillery raises the question of how they can transport the whiskey produced by road given the potholes and bumps present.
