“Good beer and service up until the bar staff failed to deal with two guys squaring up to each other with one who was very drunk and aggressively shouting threatening obscenities across the bar. Should have been thrown out and/or the police called. Neither happened so we left.”

“Booked in for Sunday lunch, whilst on holiday in the area. was welcomed with a friendly smile. Decided to opt for the Sunday carvery, well, absolutely amazing. Choice of 3 meats, all beautiful cooked to perfection, accompanied by fresh vegetables & Yorkshire puddings. Highly recommended if your in the area.”

“Perfect overnight stay, to explore Kelso. Comfortable bed and a warm shower, in a characterful hotel, right in the heart of the city. A very warm welcome at check in, with great sightseeing tips by the hotel owners too. If you’re traveling by bus, this is the most convenient place to stay, as the bus drops you off near the front of the hotel entrance, and the bus depot is just behind the hotel. It was an enjoyable stay, with all the essentials for a brief visit to this beautiful town.
