Nice pub with good simple foodFood & drinks: Stopped for food and we're only people there for a while till others arrived. We had arrived at 5pm in March so possibly busier in summer.Good food options if you don't care for seafood or haggis. Lasagne and tikka masala on the menu!Nice friendly staff. Order at bar. A relaxed pub. No pushy staff or over faffing. Just decent pub grub in VERY relaxed atmosphere.I was staying 2 nights in glencoe area and drove down to this pub especially. Glad I did.

Would highly recommend this Pub/Restaurant. The staff were all friendly. We had 4 main meals for £30 and the food was delicious and plentiful. The burgers are advertised as coming with chips and salad(the salad is in the bun) just a little note, I think I will just add a side salad next time. Amazing views from the windows. Will visit again.

Only put a 1 for rooms as we only used the pub but I’m sure they’re fine as the pub was clean and tidy. Really friendly locals, good range of drinks, and the lady that served us (Norma) was lovely. Spent an enjoyable few hours here after a walk around Glencoe. Would definitely go back if in the area again. They do food but we didn’t eat so can’t comment. Thanks for the hospitality.

Incredibly friendly staff. Best veggie breakfast ever, perfect porridge and how do they serve bar meals so quickly? Bedrooms clean and comfortable, perfect for what we needed after being outdoors all day. Thank

Popped in on a Sunday late afternoon whilst the South Africa V Scotland rugby match was in. Busy pub but service was quick. Ordered steak and ale pie with peas and chips. Food came within 10 minutes, fairly tasty, peas undercooked but the rest of the food was typical pub grub.Really nice atmosphere in the bar area, plenty of eating and tables and dog friendly too.Would definitely go again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I left my rain gear behind and they very kindly helped get it up to Fort William the next day, which saved my holiday! Thank you!The perfect spot to drop for a drink in when you've been hiking up the Munros above Kinlochleven.Nearby activities: HikingFood & drinks: Great selection of beers
Visited the Tailrace Inn a couple of times this week while staying in the area. Not much Scottish craic here.If the tall bearded guy is behind the bar then stay. If the stoney faced purple haired woman is serving, then my advice would be to turn around and spend your money elsewhere. We observed a number of people asking about food ànd receiving curt responses. We asked for some cheese crisp 'only got what's out' was the reply. Couple of minutes later she was arranging multiple packets of cheese crisps. We asked for lemon for the gin, 'don't av any'.Shame that purple haired woman doesn't recognise that tourism and passing trade is keeping a roof over her head. Why work in the hospitality industry if you don't want to show hospitality. Won't be returning would rather go to the coop and purchase a bottle of wine to drink in a damp tent covered in midges.

Used this place a few times during our stay… food basic pub grub but okay.On our final visit for a drink on the Saturday afternoon for a drink came across a real piece of work masquerading as a barmaid. It’s not often you find rudeness & obnoxious in such quantity in an individual that also chooses to work in the hospitality sector… so if you don’t manage to spot the Loch Ness monster call in here to observe the loch leven one ….. it’s easy to spot. All other members of staff were interested in doing their job fortunately.

Amazing place if you like watching the residents of Kinglochleven in their natural habitat. Meaning drunk behind a gambling machine wasting their pension. An excellent view during dinner. We ate there and had a drink, the food was ok but I question the hygiene in the kitchen. However upon returning half an hour later to fill our water bottles the lady rudely shooed us away because only paying customers could use the tap water.Draw your conclusions from that I guess. I found Kinglochleven to be one of the most depressing sights during our entire trip.
