Unorthodox Roasters, 129 High St, KinrossMy wife and I spent around 3 months gallivanting around UK, from London over to St. David's and up to Orkney. And we stopped at an inordinate amount of coffee shops along the way. And I can say—without exaggeration—that this was our absolute favorite. It the best flat white I've had in UK and, coincidentally, the best matcha latte my wife had in UK. (Both were so good, we each got a second drink for takeaway since we couldn't return given our itinerary). More importantly, it had such a great atmosphere inside. Welcoming, authentic, and congenial. There is nothing impersonal about it, which is a complaint I have about a lot of the better artisanal roasters/shops we seek out. Just excellent coffee & cakes, people clearly happy to walk through the front door, and folks who make a point to catch up with one another and welcome those of us who aren't from there. Suffice it to say, we've dropped a pin in this one and very much look forward to returning the next time we're back in the UK.

Staff were so friendly and helpful, we were arriving late back from a day trip in Edinburgh and they had the pizzas ready and waiting for us after hours. Thanks so much ??!! Also, gave us a bonus garlic dip, which was gorgeous.

The Muirs Inn
Shire, 49 Muirs, KinrossOur Golfing Group unable to play on Monday due to the storm. 12 of us visited and had a great afternoon and we were looked after brilliantly by Alana who kept the beer flowing with a smile on her face. Great pub!

I got the chipotle fried chicken and it was the closest to heaven I’ve ever gotten (aside from when I got into a nearly fatal motorcycle accident, lol) the coffees are great too and I’d say it’s a reasonable price. It’s good quality, tasty food so you’re getting your moneys worth. A nice atmosphere, walls adorned with posters and funky colours and plants. Service can be a little slow at times and can be tricky to find a seat but it’s well worth the wait. Will be coming again with Susan!

20 High St, KinrossLove this hotel, location is smashing, rooms a nice size, staff so lovely! Nice menu for dinner at night and a lovely breakfast all freshly cooked and served to your table in the morning! No having to make your own toast or waiting in queue for use of the coffee/tea machine! No congealed eggs or beans or overcooked sausages because they've been lying on a hot plate too long!!

We had the full breakfast - Egg, black pudding, beans, scone were all spot on - sausage tasted a bit cheap and bacon was a bit dried out. Orange juice was amazing and cappuccino although nice was the smallest I've ever seen. Staff are very friendly and helpful and prices are reasonable - overall worth a visit.

132 High St, KinrossWife and I have been to eat in a few times. Food has always been of a very good standard and lots of it. Very attentive staff. If you get more than a dozen people in the restaurant and all talking at once you can't hear yourself think. Would highly recommend their food.

Service Area, KinrossFantastic service on a fairly busy Thursday evening … the lad serving was excellent in dealing with a no stock bread bun item for quite a few customers.
We had a small delay whilst he successfully checked in alternatives for customers.
Our double Whoppers were fabulous and very well constructed.
Will be happy to return here for a motorway stop in future.
