This café has an odd welcome: there's a rope asking you to 'wait to be seated' right inside the doorway. This was okay for us two, but a family of five who came in after us were forced to leave the door open as they crammed into the small space - odd...Anyway, our drinks were very good & they had non-dairy milk for my hot chocolate.

This cafe was so nice we went twice in two days. Good range of lunch choices at very reasonable prices - and the staff are just lovely.

We visited as a group of 6 adults and 6 children. The lady gave us a very warm welcome, offering to jig the tables around to accommodate us all. The children's menu is simple but perfect for children. The Carot and Lentil soup was amazing and my two girls polished it off and wanted more. I had the chicken, bacon and mayonnaise toastie, this was beautiful and full of flavour. Everyone in our party commented on how nice their food was. The lady who welcomed us gave us lots of information about activities in the local area. When you visit anywhere for the first time the big question is always, would you visit again? ... ....Well we did the very next day! Even the children asked to go back. Excellent tea room with attentive, friendly staff and 5 star food. Thank you

What a lovely little local restaurant with delicious food and friendly service. My husband and I moved to Kirkcudbright about two years ago in Sept 2021. Solway Tide Tearooms will be our frequent simple lunch eat out. Though the food is simple and straight forward but they are delicious! My usual is toasted bagel with cream cheese and carrot soup combo. When the weather is nice, sitting in the back garden would be my choice. It is also pet friendly.

The scone was very good but the coffee was first class. It's not often you are served such great coffee in Scotland. The service was lovely and the place spotless.

We sat out in the courtyard. Option of shade or not. Well laid out with tables spaced among interesting planting. Food and service very good.

Due to the great weather the garden was a delight to sit in, with the mural on the wall you really felt like you were abroad. Not just usual choice of coffee, but cafetiere and a hot milk with flavoured syrups. Hazelnut was very pleasant. The toilet was clean and tidy.

Everytime myself and my partner visit we are blown away by the quality of the baking. This time we had a delicious lemon cake (baked with love by the lovely lady who served us) and a tiffin slice which was just as moreish. It's such a treat to visit this cafe. Especially sitting in outdoor area. Can't wait to come back
