Thoroughly recommend a course at the Station House Cookery School - Nick was an excellent teacher and superb cook. Our Ukrainian food was soooo good!

I attended the Ukranian Cooking day on 22 Feb 2024.... Outstanding !... Nick is a great tutor . I learnt a lot ... and cooked a couple of dishes to take home ! I am already booked on another full day of learning - in March 2024. and will certainly be booking more courses. A great day of learning- with the bonus of good food to take home ! Thank you Nick

The day-long bread course was tremendous, packed with information and tips and culminated in leaving with a couple of my own handmade loaves. Highly enjoyable and recommended.

I’m a keen cook and really enjoyed my day at the cook school. Nick is a great teacher, informative & entertaining. What an amount of food I came away with! I forgot my aubergine but improvised & turned my flat bread dough into a pizza.

Friendly, relaxed, flexible and fun. Nick was a brilliant teacher and good company. Took Mother for some quality time together and she was immediately put at ease and we both had a lovely time. Will definitely go again. If you want quality experiences with friends and family AND you want to learn some great life skills to boot then book your place!

Enjoyed a half day pasta making class with my 9 year old son. A great experience. We both learned lots and my son thoroughly enjoyed it. He was so delighted to bring home his dishes and let everyone taste the food he had produced. I would recommend the "Kids study for free" family class as a great day's entertainment during school half terms or holidays. We are already on the look out for our next culinary class to share together at Station House.

This is our second visit to The Station House Cook School, and we were not disappointed. Nick was, as ever a most hospitable and knowledgeable host, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Middle Eastern cooking experience. For those who can’t cook, won’t cook or those with a passion to cook, and a keenness to learn more about the science and processes of cooking, then this is the place to come to. A great day, and would recommend to all, those who can cook, and those who can’t. It is something for everyone. Many thanks, Nick, and hope to see you again…..

We use the cookery school to provide our young trainee kitchen assistant with external cookery training. Our employee really enjoys attending his courses and it builds his confidence with his cooking skills and knowledge. Nick offers advice on how he can improve his cooking methods and this week he returned with knowledge on how to improve our pizza dough. We have tested out Nicks method and it has helped us develop a firmer crisper pizza base so our customers can now enjoy even better pizza's at Nikos in Castle Douglas. Thank you Nick for all the support you provide our young employee, you are offering him much encouragement to want to become a chef in the future and he always returns motivated and keen to improve the foods we offer.

Nick was brilliant, everything you could possibly need from a course from demonstration to the practical hands on. Came away with lots of useful tips as well as a Farmhouse Loaf and soda bread. Even gave us a Dahl lunch with the chapati and naan

I have been on a few cooking classes and I have enjoyed this one the most so far. Normally the classes have been packed to capacity and although I left with skills I did not have full understanding of why I was doing things. These classes were smaller, Nick gave me new skills but also answered some of the things I did but never knew why. I did 2 courses, one with my son and a full day for myself. We will be back for more classes as it was fantastic value for money.

Excellent half day taking part in a cookery demonstration and then eating the results. Wonderful.

Took a half day on French cookery, it was a demonstration and afterwards we all tested the results at lunch. It was all very good, Nick is a very good teacher and chief. Well worth multiple visits i think.

This cooking class was a 5/5 star experience. From the food to the chef, everything was amazing. Nick was informative and educational whilst still being fun and patient. Everything tasted exquisite. Perfect pasta, magnificent meringues, brilliant blowtorches; we recommend this class for anyone from the ages 10-80. Everyone coming to Galloway should visit the station house cookery school for an exceptional day out. We will definitely be back!
