Having said that, the food and service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and made some great suggestions for us. We REALLY enjoyed our meal! Thank you, Bar Leo!

The Park Bistro
Park Farm, LinlithgowFirst time here and we were not disappointed. Forgot to take photos ??♀️. We had a steak pie and chips, and Thai beef sizzler with rice. Was very filling and really liked the rustic decor. Will definitely be back

68 High St, LinlithgowCame in with my dog on a small day trip from Edinburgh just to sit in and have a snack before going out for a walk and wow a young gentlemen served me and the service was great. Another staff member also saw me and my dog and gave her a puppacino, will happily come back!

The host Callum recommended duck hash as a meal and we was pleasantly surprised, it was an excellent meal.
The ‘real-Ale’ selection was magnificent and drinking in the beer garden was lovely.
The only bad part was how Busy it got, staff were very busy and working hard but still made lots of time for us

108 High St, LinlithgowWhat a great find in Linlithgow. We found this place after walking out of The Four Marys across the street because of appalling service there. Cafebar 1807 couldn’t have been more accommodating. Really great, friendly service, and the greatest steak pie and mash I’ve had in a long time. Will definitely be recommending and returning to this lovely place.

The food was all freshly prepared, beautifully presented and most importantly, delicious. The bite sized strawberry tarts were a particular favourite. ?

Felt very homely and welcoming from Alison and Ross with plenty of samples to try. Impressed with offerings for drivers so don’t be put off if you have to drive, it’s still 100% worth the visit

Food is lovely, slightly small menu and could be difficult for someone who eats plain foods. A bit more on the expensive side but quality of food is good.
Toilets could do with a refresh but otherwise the restaurant is well kept and clean.
Staff were lovely and accommodating.

Champany Corner, Champany Inn, LinlithgowSlight differences in the food from previous visits in years past. Top class burger, chips very good although not as good as before the closure.
Meringue dessert nice, just not as good as prior to closure a couple of years back, smaller portion.
Great feed and best burgers around.

Hide Away Cafe
Beecraigs visitor centre, LinlithgowWe bring our dogs here offen for a doggy sausage and ice cream but this trip was going to be the last for Maddie our eldest dog who loves this place but sadly was booked in to be put to sleep (we wanted to take her to her favourite place beforehand)
The staff were so kind and even brought out free ice cream for Maddie and ran after us to inform us they had returned the fee of the doggy sausage to my card which was such a lovely gesture which meant so much…
In a weird (and wonderful) turn of events the vet who she was booked in to see noticed something different and the operation was cancelled and Maddie is back home! With us hopefully for many more months maybe even years who knows (shes 14)
The staff’s gesture was so appreciated and I hope they see this message!

163 High St, LinlithgowJust been in for afternoon tea. Was absolutely delicious beautiful fresh sandwich followed by homemade sausage rolls. Then lovely fresh baked scones finally followed with beautiful fresh homemade cakes. Plenty of tea with lots of choices. A gem of a place will definitely be back .

Would not have been my first choice, haggis, and cheese with chilli sauce, but actually very nice. Plenty sandwich and panini options but curious as to why no other baked potato filling options?

1 The Cross, LinlithgowWe randomly stopped in completely ravenous after a tour. We ordered the cream of mushroom soup with a cheese scone, side salad, and the warm vegetable bowl. The vegetable bowl is hands down the BEST warm grain bowl I’ve ever had! Everything is roasted perfectly, the flavors and textures are complex, and it wasn’t oily. I could eat this everyday for the rest of my life. I need the recipe!
The mushroom soup was equally delicious. Definitely try it if it’s the soup of the day! Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by this place! The staff is also very nice.
