Have frequented this establishment many times over the years and never had anything but an excellent experience on every single occasion. That in itself is a rarity these days. Bar staff excellent even in busy times, kitchen staff under pressure deliver ever time, happy friendly waiting staff, all of which are young locals which is so refreshing to see. What's not to love? We ate at The Bothy Bar several times while staying at the Strontian Hotel, and all our meals were lovely. Hearty portions, friendly service and superb views, plus the atmosphere was lovely. The Bothy Bar is a separate entity to the hotel, although it's attached, so you then have breakfast within the hotel in a different breakfast room, and that was superb too. Great food, fantastic location and friendly staff. The options in this area are predictably - due to location - limited, so it was great to find somewhere that had great food and service. Very reasonably priced too. ...and what a view!
