Excellent food; I chose the mushroom soup and was the best I have tasted, perfectly seasoned. Then the venison, and it was delicious, perfectly cooked. My husbands haggis tart and lamb shank were equally good. The waitress tends to all tables and has a smile on her face always, it makes for a perfect welcome. It is so busy so make sure and book.
A really outstanding last night treat. We could both have chosen several things from the starters alone. We would love to go back again just to try the things we couldn't manage. Superb food and service.
This place is a little gem. While quite unassuming from the outside the food is superb. We had scallops with a delicious broccoli and cauliflower risotto (I was wrongly a bit sceptical), crab with Scottish cheese macaroni, and the best haunch of venison I’ve had. The staff were lovely too! Give this place a try - you won’t be disappointed.
