Another great night out at Monte Cassino - we have our staff night out there every Xmas - always fantastic! This was a smaller family do, but pizzas excellent, wine excellent, atmosphere excellent and not too pricey! Have read some negative reviews of this place - that would be at least my 10th visit, nary a problem!!!

Hadn't been for a while and visited with a group of friends recently Good selection of starters and mains, from meat and seafood to pastas and pizzas. Something from all parts of the menu was ordered and I think everyone was happy. Good coffee and a reasonably priced selection of wines. The restaurant has a good atmosphere overall. Service is relaxed, not rushed. Staff are good, prices offer good value for the quality. I'm sure I'll be back.

Average in the grand scheme of things Italian. Others do better. Felt rushed by staff, hadn’t hit the seat and was asked what drinks we wanted, Gimme a chance to look eh? menu states not a fast food restaurant. Again rushed by staff as the mains plates were cleared, instantly pounced on for deserts, couldn’t enjoy my wine, had to ask staff three times to give us space. Didn’t feel like you could enjoy the evening and relax. 4th and last visit as this one cemented the feeling of the last 3.

In Melrose for shooting birds and staying at a nearby hotel, we thought this was an excellent restaurant. We were so impressed that we went two nights in a row. [I don't understand what two recent negative reviews are about. NOT our experience.] I have traveled extensively and find such an excellent restaurant--excellent food, great service, warm ambience, fair prices--to be very unusual to find in a small town.
