Good choice of Italian dishes. Well looked after, especially the toddler that was with our group of six.Kid-friendliness: Thirty month old toddler with us who can be, er, vocal, but that wasn’t a problem.

Having had an awful experience at the Paolo restaurant in Galashiels, we were beginning to think we would never find a good Italian restaurant near our new home in the Borders, then along came Monte Casino!! What a wonderful gem this place is.. the food was outstanding, the staff were really friendly, the service excellent and the atmosphere was cosy and non pretentious. Without a doubt, this is our new “Go To” place to eat. Outstanding!
