“For a place that is slightly more expensive than others, I found food a little disappointing. The wood pigeon was extremely salty, the recipe didn’t pair the flavours well enough and it really didn’t work together. I also got the Sunday roast and the Yorkshire pudding must have been sitting too long in the oven because it was crispy. Beef was good but it had a strange aftertaste. Broccoli was bland and literally just boiled and carrots were burned. Also for a place of this type, I was surprised that when I requested still water which for restaurants always means bottled water, I received tap water. Additionally the water wasn’t poured for us. Also we were missing a menu in one of the menu holders. The service wasn’t very good despite the place being almost empty. For a place that looks really really cool, the restaurant would really do with improving their quality, both food and service wise.”

“Clean and tidy. Sevice was prompt once food ordered. Food was nice and well presented. Only issue waa no colouring sheets for the grandkids for the 4 visits we made in the week.

“Just had our wedding there on 02/08/25. It was the best day of our lives and that’s thanks to dean and all his staff. So friendly and helpful. Everything was set up exactly as we wanted it to be. The food was absolutely delicious which all our guests loved and ourselves. Dean himself was always around making sure everything was going well. There was one member of the team who really stood out for us but unfortunately we didnt catch her name. She was there serving everyone and making sure everyone had everything they wanted for their meal and the next day we seen her cleaning the rooms and she chatted away asking if we had a good day etc.. all the staff went above and beyond for our special day and we can’t thank them enough. We would 100% recommend this place for your wedding, or any other event, even just popping in for a delicious meal. We will definitely be keeping the venue in mind if we ever need anything again.”
