Such a warm, friendly welcome from Lynda & Eric, lovely spacious room, very comfortable bed with many, many pillows. The en suite shower room was so good I stayed in it far too long...every time!, hidden home made treats were unexpected and delicious...I booked evening meals ahead of my stay and loved every one. The breakfast special was so good I was absolutely set up for the day! Came back at night to a lovely log fire and struggled to move from the hypnotic flames. This stay made my work trip an absolute pleasure, and I was sad to leave!Food & drinks: Food was so good I bought a baking book to take away that Lynda had printed locally with her own recipes...can't wait to try them out!

We really enjoyed our stay at Dower House. Lynda and Eric gave us a warm welcome and a lot of tips for hiking and visiting. Our room Calder Apt. was very comfortable. Breakfast and Dinner were very recomendable.

If you are thinking of running a Bed and Breakfast you would do well to stay at the Dower House beforehand - you will be treated to a Masterclass on how a B&B should be run properly!Rooms: Large and very comfortable, spotlessly clean.Walkability: Within easy walking distance of pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops in the village.Food & drinks: Fantastic breakfast! The choice and quality are superb, and many of the items are homemade by Lynda and Eric themselves. Afternoon tea on arrival makes you feel very welcome. Cake and tablet in the bedroom a lovely bonus!

Linda and Erik’s B&B is not to be missed. Beautifully decorated comfortable and impeccably clean. But the most important aspect of a stay with them is the personal welcome and care that you will receive.

We stayed in the Calder Suite, which was extremely cozy and comfortable with everything you could want including a lovely fireplace perfect for a winter evening. Lynda and Eric were great hosts, they even checked in with us to see if we needed rearrange our plans because of incoming storms. I can't recommend this place highly enough!
Linda and Eric are the most gracious hosts and made us feel welcome from the time we walked through the door. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Dower House is beautiful inside and out and comfortable with modern amenities. Linda is a true artist; check out her items on line or while visiting Dower House.

Really nice and cosy b&b. The hosts Lynda and Eric are very nice, courteous and help you in a way other b&b hosts don't. Very good breakfast with self-made muffins and other biscuits. Rooms are huge, tidy and comfortable.

My daughter and I had three wonderful days here, with the most amazing hosts ever. I was in 7th heaven, the hospitality of Linda & Eric: their beautiful garden, potted plants, the peace and serenity of the back yard. What more can you want. Would go back in a heart beat if it wasn't for the 30 hours of travel from Australia. We also loved being spoilt with the home cooking.

We stayed here in 2020 (late to the review party) but the memory of this stay sticks with my wife and I to this day. We were welcomed with open arms and beautifully moist muffins. The stay was a short one (a stop over on our way to Skye) but a great one. We now remember this on every holiday we go on as we purchased a beautifully handmade Harris Tweed toiletry bag that Lynda made on site!
