Great little local cafe. Simple but very good menu. Well worth stopping in if in the area.

I stopped here with my children pre-christmas before visiting the Cairngorm Alpaccas. It had just hit lunch time. We were the only people there. The menu is very limited. Sandwiches, toasties and 2 soup choices essentially. I know that small businesses are struggling with increasing costs and energy prices. But there was a complete lack of flare. Crisp crumbs were on the plate with our toasties. Our first order of three cheese and ham toasties arrived as sandwiches but this was quickly rectified. There were very limited cakes and baked goods (it was the end of the week, so most things had been sold?) . A lot of empty plates under cloches. It was extremely quiet and peaceful and our server was friendly. It is cute and the atmosphere was relaxed. The food just needs to be presented with a bit more TLC.

The Wild Flour used to be a bakery, then an art gallery and now it is a comfortable family run cafe serving freshly cooked meals and still host to an interesting range of local artist's work in the entrance. Lovely comfy sofas, chalk and blackboard and a small play area will keep the children occupied while you enjoy your meal. Here you will find a good menu serving a range of hot food, and haggis and fruit chutney along with the biggest scones I have ever come across!! A speciality is the delicious home baked cakes displayed on a shelf, Belgian hot chocolate and a generous choice of other hot and cold drinks. At the back of the restaurant is a view over an enchanting small garden. The staff are warm and friendly and everything ticks along nicely. If you are looking for a laid back place to anchor while you enjoy a peaceful lunch in an unhurried atmosphere, consider the Wild Flour at Newtonmore.

Love this little place. Just a few menu items, but executed really well! The Cullen skink is rich and smokey and the homemade bread is lovely. Head their way if you're after a breakfast bap!

Great little place, home made food, and quirky decor. We had the Cullen Skink and soup of the day, both delicious. Staff were lovely as well, and they welcome dogs too. Will revisit when in the area. Thank you.

Highly recommend stopping here for some lunch! Absolutely delicious. We got the flatbread and sweat potato dish which were both very flavoursome. Tad expensive we thought but tasty. All staff here are kind and welcoming. Stop by if you’re cycling or driving through.

Lovely cafe with friendly staff and comfortable seating - relax sitting in the sofas or sit at a table. Sit outside in the garden, weather permitting. I had a flat white and piece of carrot cake. Look for the cat in the window. One of 132 cats in Newtonmore.

Rolled into Newtonmore for a mid afternoon lunch. There were only a couple of other diners at that time so we had the place to ourselves and didn't feel rushed. The food was great (I had the baked sweet potato) and the coffee selection / quality was really good too. The restroom was nice and clean and the staff friendly. Unfortunately it was too rainy to eat out in the garden. Lovely, friendly place.Kid-friendliness: Good restroom.

Coffee and cake is a hit or miss, we've been quite a few times. When is a hit, it's fantastic (delicious cake and great choice), otherwise it's very disappointing (dry cakes, watery coffee)Best bet is to go for the soup.staff are always lovely and welcomingCafé itself is really lovely
