“Very busy pub. Local team were due to play but the fans on route to match gave a good vibe to the place. Didn't eat. Food not served here. Traditional old fashioned establishment in Paisley. Would recommend for a few beers/drinks.

“Wonderful afternoon at a private cocktail masterclass. So much fun and we learned a lot too. Amazing, chilled out vibe and Jason was fantastic at showing us how to make the cocktails. So patient with us. Thank you.”

“The Bankhouse in Paisley has long been a favorite spot for locals, but it's Louise's incredible steak pie that truly elevates this pub to legendary status. If you're on the hunt for the best steak pie in town, look no further—Louise’s creation is the star of the menu.
The steak pie is a testament to Louise’s culinary skill. The beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender, slow-cooked to perfection in a rich and flavorful gravy that strikes the perfect balance between hearty and savory. Each bite is a delightful experience, with the beef practically falling apart in your mouth, infused with deep, comforting flavors that linger long after your meal is finished.
But the true magic of this dish lies in Louise’s pastry. Flaky, golden, and buttery, it provides the perfect contrast to the tender meat inside. It’s clear that this pastry is made with care and expertise, ensuring that it complements the filling rather than overshadowing it.
The dish is generously portioned, served with creamy mash or crispy chips, and fresh vegetables that round out the meal perfectly. It's comfort food done right, and it’s easy to see why it’s become a local favorite.
Beyond the food, the warm, inviting atmosphere of The Bankhouse and the friendly service from the staff make every visit a pleasure. Whether you’re a regular or just passing through, Louise’s steak pie is a must-try dish that will keep you coming back for more.
In short, Louise’s steak pie at The Bankhouse isn’t just the best in Paisley—it’s a culinary experience you won’t soon forget. Don’t miss out on this gem!”

“Three of us visited today for the first time. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. The food arrived quickly after being ordered and was piping hot. First thing we noticed was the portion size was on the large side. Compared to others these days this was a nice change. The food was fresh and tasty. Despite being full we decided on dessert which was also really nice. I would recommend a visit to Jam Jar as the food is great and the staff are really friendly.”
