A nice wee old-style long and narrow pub. Very lively, good service considering I only saw one guy serving the drinks, collecting the empties and cleaning the glasses read for the next customer. Good music being played that was loud enough to get in the groove but not loud enough to prevent conversations. There was a good variety of drinks at average prices and plenty of alcohol-free options for the drivers or abstainers

After it being recommended to me by a family member gave it a try. While the food I got was nice and I enjoyed the iced peach tea I really think it's overpriced. My elderly mother couldn't cut into the bruschetta either it was too hard, at £53 for food and soft drinks before 1pm for 3 people .though the service was good and the servers were polite and lovely.

But today I had company so decided to do it right. Cafe 77 is lovely, great food, great service reasonably priced. By which I mean probably twice the price of Wetherspoons and 10 times the value. Thoroughly recommend.

First time visiting this wonderful establishment, the initial greeting on arrival was wonderful so friendly & warm, the gentleman behind the bar offered to carry the tray of drinks to the table for us. The food was absolutely out of this world, I couldn’t recommend the Carvery’s enough, phenomenal value for money. The establishment was clean and very well maintained. Just ordered our first ugly duck for delivery tonight and my other half is not happy at all. In a good way!!! He is a chef and that was probably the best burgers we have had (not including his) in a long time. The katsu burger was his choice - wee surprise of onion rings was very welcome! The bacon cheese burger was my choice which I had the meat sweats half way through. Then to top the gluttony off we had the footling mozzarella stick….bit of a domestic as to who got the remaining end bit……absolutely brilliant meal. Thank you!!

The go to venue for live music. Save all your talking until after the show, now one will hear you while the band are playing.

If you enjoy Northern Soul, there is a dedicated day and time, check the FB page. The two presenters are amazing.

The Bar staff are excellent and the locals will make you feel welcome.

With so many pubs closing, the Old Swan has that magic ingredient where many want to drink and socialise, while being entertained.

The station is a 5 minute walk, and the pub is on a major bus route.

Not been in a while due to it being very expensive for fast food . I noticed it had been refurbished to a great looking restaurant. But the same old burger king , tables littered with chips and rubbish on the floor. There were three staff standing at the tills and I'm sure one could have cleaned up after customers making the place more satisfying for people to enjoy the meals . The restaurant only had about ten people in it, so it was not that busy to keep up the standards that the public would have expected.
The staff were very polite and easy to speak to and order . Just keep the place tidy .

Visited the shop on Tuesday 6th of May at lunchtine. This chip shop is a very well oiled machine. The staff are on the ball and the place runs efficiently. I have enjoyed fish and chips for years but some places have made the treat unaffordable however at marcos i got a small fish supper and a can of vimpto with x2 ketchup for around 6 quid and the quality was very good. Will visit again.
