Victoria, the Assistant Manager, was superlative: she helped us organise a very special occasion in every little detail.She went above and beyond in meeting our requests and expectations and the outcome was absolutely brilliant.The Maitre d'h, Hubert, provided a World-class service and so did every staff member.The food was equally great: well presented and so tasty.I could not recommend Cringletie enough.

We celebrate the birthday of my fiancee to Cringletie for an afternoon tea yesterday. Great foods and friendly staff. Probably we will comeback again?

Another warm welcome at Cringletie House. The food was excellent and the room was lovely. A special mention for Harriet for whom nothing was too much trouble. However all the staff again were lovely and they all work really hard. This was our second visit and even though it rained a lot, that didn’t matter.

Charming setting, great fruit and polite staff. The tasting menu was amazing. The location was perfect for daily hikes and travels to other small towns. We discovered Cocoa Black, a chocolatier in Peebles with a world-renown reputation. Will certainly be visit again.

Staying at Cringletie House Hotel was a lovely experience. From the welcome we received, to the comfortably furnished and cosy classic room, everything was perfect. We enjoyed eating in the restaurant both nights of our stay and the food was excellent, as were the breakfasts. The grounds are beautiful, even when the weather isn't up to much. Best of all are the staff who were relaxed and friendly whilst still totally professional. We were also very pleased to meet the owner, Mr Cross, on our first night when he came around the restaurant to say hello. Hope to be able to make a return visit in the coming months.

My husband and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and the entire staff made it magical! The food and room was superb! Beautiful grounds! Practiced our golf game on the putting green! Brenda was very helpful with local sites to visit. Harriet was very informative and fun with the whiskey tasting! Didn’t want to leave!

The place is low key, , and the staff was super nice and friendly. We had a vegan 7-course meal that was superb, and when we had less time, on another night they accommodated us with a vegan two-course. Grounds were well kept, and low-key walks on the property cleared your head. Rooms were comfortable and tasteful with local artists. The owner was friendly and professional. Also locally, we enjoyed the Beyond Borders ideas, politics, and arts festival the last weekend of the Edinburgh Fringe. You can do both Fetsivals if you time it right.Enjoy immaculate surroundings. Just the coolest place to hang.

Everything was wonderful. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the grounds are stunning. The beds were comfortable, the staff was gracious and accommodating, the breakfast was delicious. If we make it back to Scotland, we’ll be back.

From the moment we arrived to the point of departure we could not have asked for more. The service we received, from every single member of staff, was exceptional, each going above and beyond to ensure that our special day went without a hitch. A day which, for all the right reasons, will be remembered for ever. The food, both at breakfast and dinner, was amazing and the changes made by your outstanding chef to accommodate our dietary needs was very much appreciated. The reception rooms together with the dining room afford a most relaxing atmosphere and the beautiful surroundings with walled garden provide pleasant walks. We very much look forward to returning.

Great location in secluded woodland. Cosy garret room with great views and excellent en-suite bathroom. High standard of characterful decor throughout hotel. Enjoyed the artwork from local artists. And the croquet and putting in the lawn. Dinner menu was high quality, innovative and well-presented. Breakfast was also very good. Loved the Whisky-soaked prunes in my porridge! Staff and service were excellent.

We visited Cringletie for their Sunday Gourmet Dinnner/B@B package. The hotel is fabulous, the staff lovely and very attentive and the food truly excellent. It was a luxurious step back in time and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay from start to finish. Thanks to the team for a great experience.
